thanks for the info and getting back to me. One more ?; where i live, this time of year we are getting quite a bit more than 12 hours of light; that okay, or should i move them in and out of a closet to make it 12/12?

In my experience this will make zero difference. Let there be light

Ambient room light is not good enough. You need a 6500 K "daylight" fluorescent bulb. The 6500 K denotes light spectrum.

"Ambient room light" is a variable. I have had plenty of success setting a shoebox by a window with a curtain over it. Technically this would be ambient room light. Sunlight is far stronger and more effective than any sort of artificial lighting... whether for mushrooms or plants. Plus, it's free!

Is this a little too much moisture on surface?
Should I open lid and let some evaporate?
Or keep lid on and keep waiting?

thank you. my place probably doesn't get enough light, so i'll get a bulb. Is one of those "twister daylight 6500k bulbs" that i am seeing online that simply screws into a ceiling fixture good? if so, should the glass covering be removed, or does that not matter? And should one bulb or two bulbs be used, or also not that relevant?

I guess sunlight works! For me though I couldn't do that cause such conditions would be way too hot in my climate, plus I dont want my boxes to be seen by the wrong eyes

hey guys! so we have pins!! but I'm not so sure if they are ready for more FAE or should I wait until pins stop popping up?

Do these pins look healthy? To be honest, I'm pretty excited to see this baby pinning! Today is 14 days from spawn but I'm guessing that's average time for pins. have a great one, all!
edit: forgot pics hehehe troll

WE HAVE PINS. side pins, but pins. My field capacity was good to start with, but I had to catch the box after it slid off it's new shelf a few days after spawning and it caused the substrate to lift up from the bottom of the box. It has slowly accumulated moisture on the sides between the substrate and wall since then, and the top of the sub seems rather dry. Should I just let it ride out and accept my side pin overlords or what do?

Personally id probably still try to maintain surface conditions. Ive had subs that were shrunken from pretty much every side of the tub after the first flush, and i was still able to get barely any side pins during the second flush through proper surface conditions.

After a 2 hour dunk would you guys recommend just dub tubbing again, or should I snap the lid on like during the beginning of the first flush and wait to dub until the pinset comes in?
I think I may have asked this question before but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
