Slow colonization?
    #25166757 - 04/26/18 12:29 PM (6 years, 8 months ago)

I’ve got 2 quart jars and one is already fully colonized, I shook them up at 30% and haven’t touched them since. It’s been about 5 days now since one fully colonized  and the other still has the top and bottom to colonize, except I expected it to be done by now. It doesn’t seem like much is happening at all and from the time spent watching it I’d imagine the myc could fill in those spots quick. Why did the colonization slow down? Should I spawn to bulk?

What could that problem be? Doesn’t look contaminated... did it run out of water? Should I open and smell it?

I can't see the top of the jar to see what kind of ge hole or system u got goin on. Could be bacteria. That's one of the biggest problems I have especially when it gets warmer here. All you can do is shake again and see if it recovers.

Thanks for the replies,  i decided to shake it up quite a bit and broke some of the myc down, hopefully it’ll grow back soon. My other jar is fully colonized and need both to spawn, how long do you think it’ could take after shaking it again to fully colonize?

It’s a plastic lid off shroomsupply,  I think it’s just micropore tape for gas exchange
