jars stoped growing ...
    #2516381 - 04/02/04 02:34 AM (14 years, 24 days ago)

I have  a jar that is fully colonized from the outside , but the bottom and the core are not colonized , and i can't see that mycelium actuly grows ... I think it stoped .

On the lid i have 5 holes , and a filter paper placed on them for air exchange . Ill remove the lid and just put a filter paper and than turn it upside down ... Maybe the core dried out , should i add some water with a syringe ???

What should i do else to rescue it ? Is this jar still usefull ?

ps. i'm using birdseed ( millet )

Keep the lid on, but flip the jar and
see if this helps.

hold on, is this a grain jar?
If so, have you shaken it all up?

yeah, i shaked it after PCing and later when i had about 20% colonization ... It can't be shaked any more , somehow it is all stuck , could this mean there is some mycelium in the core ?

Ok , ill turn them upside down and wait few days , if that doesn't help , what else should i do ???

And yes it is a birdseed jar ...
