Brf jars to hpoo
    #25161540 - 04/24/18 03:34 AM (6 years, 8 months ago)

I'm new to the hobby and have had my first success with pf tek but for my second attempt I've decided to buy a ready mixed and sterilised bulk substrate bag off the internet and I plan on using brf cakes to spawn. The substrate bag is 2lb but I only have 3 half pint colonised jars to mix in with it. Will that be enough?

Am I right in thinking the fewer colonised jars I use, the more I risk getting a contam and the slower the colonisation on the bulk substrate will be. Other than that, the 3 jars will be fine?

Or should I wait until I have more colonised jars (maybe a month) or will the substrate bag need using before then?

Use less hpoo. it should work. I did a mini mono with hpoo and brf cakes.

It's in a bag and you're supposed to throw the cakes into the bag and break the cakes up in there. I'd rather use all the hpoo in one go if possible so will my 3 cakes not be enough?
