Growing in soil?
    #25160611 - 04/23/18 06:36 PM (6 years, 8 months ago)

before anyone bashes me for not doing what is “best” understand I’m doing this for fun and don’t mind letting some spores go to waste. Anyone think if I tried growing in a fabric pot with soil that contains things mushrooms would grow on and used vermiculite or pumice stone to retain water it would have good results? will be using a new pot and could sterilize the soil with boiling water. I think the air flow would be good for mycelium and could prevent mold and too much moisture. will probably do it regardless of what you guys tell me but am open to suggestions and warnings

This has been asked a bunch I think and the general consensus is that it’ll virtually never work from spores. Perhaps if you used LC or LI. Using colonized grains would almost certainly produce something.
