Bags by them selves, or bags full of colonized grain spawn?

Idk if bags are different, wouldn't think they are, but I had fully colonized jars I left for I think like a month, maybe two, before I finally spawned, and they were fine.

I made a lot of experiments, leaving lots of bags consolidating in cold temperatures around 50s for one month to three months and i can tell you that you are not gona gain much more than some problems....
Some bags ended up fine but some no... The spawn could get bacterial, leading to more problems later...
It seems the Myc get a little pissed off and lots of metabolites are squeezed out...
Unless you are forced by major causes, i would suggest to just spawn as soon as is ready!

This is a quote from Roger rabbit
"Actually, grains have been found better for mycelium storage than agar slants, but unfortunately take way too much room in the refrigerator. However, I've used jars that have been stored fully colonized in the refrigerator for several years. Put them in the refrigerator at full colonization, and then when you remove from the refrigerator, allow three to five days at room temperature before spawning."
Heres another one
"They can sit for a couple of weeks at normal room temperature after full colonization without harm."

It depends on the strain too, I have seen some strains start to fruit invitro about a week after colonization.

And i agree with that
Years of storage are possible, with refrigeration...
But my point was that doesent add better performance but for what ive seen could actually decrease the chances of good performance
