higher altitude slower grow?

i've been doing this for about a year and a half now and have a good system down but i recently moved to high altitude (10k) and it seems everything is taking about 1-2 weeks longer than it ever did in the past. i also have had to start misting my grows 2 times a day to see results on top otherwise my mono tubs are growing 100% out the bottom of the tub. has anyone experienced this? i know the rule of misting is do whatever is necessary for the sub and i guess im just wondering if i should mist even more than i am... does anyone have any recommendations on misting amounts they're using at high altitudes maybe? curious. Props to all the Pro's on here for their insights.

I live at 5k and colonizing times are normal. Maybe bacterial? supposed to use a little more psi or longer steam time to sterilize at higher alts.
How much you mist has more to do with the humidity of where you live i think. I'm in a desert so I mist like 2x daily even with a top layer. Still working on dialing this in.
Pins on bottom are because conditions on top aren't as good. Dialing in your conditions will cut it down. Can also try using a liner.

Lots of stuff grows slower and smaller in altitude. Also lots of mushroom species love altitude and some are almost exclusively found at higher altitudes. What it means for the species your growing who knows but RR lived in the mountains. I don't know what his elevation was but i haven't heard complaining from him or any of our mile high members from Colorado

Grew a ton in CO and lived at 13,000 and It almost seemed as If things always moved quicker lol. Probably nothing to do with altitude.
