Question about month old sterilized wbs jars and proper hydration

Hello, my question is about these wbs jars i sterilized and shelfed a month ago. They appear to be very well hydrated and free of any contamination.
I have no problem putting these back into the pc and sterilize again. Looking at these jars, i notice quite a few wbs grains are swollen and bursted open. Is this no good even though no contams have shown up?
Also, will pcing them again cause more grains to open? These are wbs, spent coffee grounds and gypsum.

 Thanks, Ghost

It's always a race against the clock against contamination so leaving it for a month is an unnecessary risk if you ask me. I would PC again
You'll always get a % of burst grains, this is normal. You want the outside of the (burst)grains to be dry and it shouldn't be an issue. You shouldn't see more burst grains. Maybe a tiny few more.
They also don't seem to loose much moisture which is what others worry about sometime but if nothing is growing inside of it, the loss over a month is minimal
Good luck

What do you think about the jars in the pics? You can see the grains pretty good. Do they look ok as far as burst % ? I know they have moisture, but just wondering if they look too swollen.
I would think that if theyve set this long without any visible contamination, then the bursted grains arent a problem. I know when working with rye berries you want next to zero open grains.

The grains themselves look fine.
How full are your jars? Could you give them a shake when you have 20-30% colonization to distribute the myc?

They are 3/4 full so they shake really good. Im going to do just an hour at 15 psi to make sure and then drop a wedge in each one.
Just didnt want to waste a good culture if the grains will cause problems. Actually they are a little over 3/4 but still shake fine even with some colonization.
