First full size mono grow - nearly a canopy of Golden Teacher! 2nd flush update

Yesterday I harvested the first flush off of my first full size mono attempt, and I couldn't be happier with the results! My weekend got off to a shitty start due to finding this on Friday, so I definitely needed the pick-me-up :thumbup:

This grow was GT spores > oats > cvg. I know that's not the ideal way, but I've done it a few times with pretty good success while I get my agar game down. 7 jars were inoculated on 3/6. All 7 finished up and were spawned on 4/3, and put into fruiting on 4/11.

The first pins popped up on 4/16, and this was yesterday :mushroom2:

I'll take it all day! Until 2.5 months ago, I'd never even attempted to grow anything at all (legal or otherwise) in my close to 40 years on this Earth, and I hadn't :mushroom2:

Harvested the second flush yesterday. I didn't expect much, and it sure didn't look like much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fruits were MUCH bigger, and dried up to about 2 zips.

I've heard good things about letting jars sit and consolidate. Everyone wants to spawn to bulk the second they don't see any gaps in the mycelium. Looks like letting them sit for a month did good for you.

Nope, no month of consolidation. They were spawned a day or two after reaching 100%. The reason they took so long was because this was spores straight to grains, and they took ~2 weeks to germinate.
