Wanted to share this:
A Galindoi pin forming on a plate 3 weeks after germination.
Gave it a new home:
In the past I had problems letting the fruits mature. They grew like this:
Cased rye with straight coir in an un-modded tub. The caps never opened, all pins aborted one day after I took the picture. Any ideas how to prevent this in the future?

I've worked with tampanensis and atl#7 and both want lots and lots of fresh air compared to cubes. I had a good flush when I put a shoebox in the martha beside some Pink oysters and another that I dub tubbed with the top slightly off center
Edit- While keeping humidity up as well, of course

Casing noob here - I cased some grains after harvesting the stones and also cased some brf cakes, with 50/50. Put them into a sgfc a few days later. The casing layer is pretty much fully colonized now on all of them. Should I just keep misting and let them be? My temps are too low at the moment (dropping down to 60), but I should have that sorted in the next few days. Humidity looks fine. If they were cubes I'd say they look like they're ready to explode, but not sure here and if anyone's got any tips I'd be grateful. Is the casing layer meant to become completely colonized?
On another note, I find a lot of conflicting info about drying sclerotia. What's the latest? Do they lose a significant amount of potency in the dehydrator?

Get those temps up into the mid seventies at least, quick, or you will be harvesting a bunch of bulk stones.

Not in my opinion. They become harder to digest so may need to be crushed or chewed well to aid in absorbtion, but no major potency difference is noted. They might subjectively lose a tiny bit of their 'sparkle' (similar to comparing dried to fresh cubensis), but it's hard to quantify.
They are harder to dry, so stay wet longer in the dehydrator (remain slightly squishy still after 36 hours) - whether or not this has any noticeable effect on potency is also hard to quantify.
Anyone else?

Hey just had a quick question, Going to inoculate 6 Quarts with a ATL 7 Spore syringe. Going to do 3 WBS and 3 RGS... should i add 50/50 water/coffee as some people suggest or will this have no notable differences. I read through this thread but did not see a definitive answer. Any feedback will be extremely appreciated.

Got a heater in the room today but I fear it may be too late...the casings have turned into rolling hills. I guess there are some huge ass rocks under there growing quickly, which is cool considering I harvested all of them from those grains only a few weeks ago, but this might not be good news for the fruits I was aiming for.

Cheers. Perhaps when properly dried they last even longer than shrooms due to their density.

Works well for me but I have not tried it without coffee. Got about 100-150g out of each jar three months after inoculation which seems pretty standard.

Thanks that's how much I'm hoping for. I'm going to try these 6 with water/coffee and my next 6 with just water and compare.

40 days ago i inoculated some wheat berry jars with ATL #7 agar using the tiger drop. I shook all the jars about 20 days ago.
This is now my second sclerotia grow, and both times sclerotia has began forming before full colonization and it has taken somewhat long to fully colonize.
Im just wondering, how normal is it for it to not be fully colonized by 40 days in when using agar? And is it normal for sclerotia to be forming before full colonization? Theres no visible contaminations as far as i can see, and the mycelium does not seem to be stalled, just growly somewhat slowly.
My first grow i used MS syringe instead of agar, and it took nearly 2 months to colonize. All of those jars produced no less than 80 grams tho.
Any thoughts would be appreciated
Not sure if it makes a difference, but i prepped the grain using 50/50 coffee/water and about a tablespoon gypsum per 10 cups of grain. The GE filter is 2 pieces of tyvek and 2 pieces of micropore alternating. The jars are kept at a constant 68-69F.
