Macgyver-esque Lab supplies/Inventory Innovation Ideas? (Not everyday stuff you'd remember)

I'm working on completing a budget mycology lab and for the first time I've actually ran out of things to order/source for this hobby.
I was hoping people could shed a light on some cool shit I could buy and re-purpose, or maybe things used by Shroomerites as improvisations/innovations.
"Macgyver Mycology" if you will
For example, I saw something like people using liquor pour caps mounted into mason jar lids for agar pouring (I opted for a 500ml pyrex media container w/ gl 45 cap), custom LC/LI setups, fruiting chamber ideas - I'm open to anything that'll make my time spent in this hobby even more fun, and even easier than it already is.
Always lookin' to innovate. Some people find some really cool uses for some really random shit...

Your lab assistant looks pissed about something.
-------------------- It's not worth doing something unless you were doing something that someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren't doing.

Since you and mushboy appear to be acquainted, maybe you could ask him to stop posting in my threads when he knows he's on ignore because he intentionally singles in on my threads and tries to derail them. Ordinarily I don't have that much of an issue with any one person.
No kidding I have him on ignore, he's a no-life troll with a bad attitude. Why would I want to hear anything from him; it's just shit he learned from you, I've already read all your TEKs. I don't need him reiterating your stuff 24/7. He's essentially off topic in every thread, stays on point just enough not to get in trouble for trolling. But his first post is always "OP has me on ignore, just noticed" ; seeing a pattern here?
What is a budget mycology lab: seriously? that was your excuse of a post for attention this time?

I was growing shrooms a decade before bod homie.
And yes. What's a budget mycology lab? Because damn near everyone here uses a budget myco lab because we all work from home. Mine cost 8bucks for a tote. And 20 for a torch. I grow pounds of shrooms with that 'lab' ...cat was a stray so she was free.
So please explain... What's in your budget mycology lab? Your op states you want things to be simpler and easier. First step? You don't need a lab.
You whole rant is off topic in your own thread. Send me a pm if you wanna go at it, or go to i hate mushboy and call me a pos. I'll join ya. ...or disappear after a few months.. like the others on my ignore list(mm/random noobs)

You have no one on your ignore list. I said I wanted to make things more fun & easier in my OP.
I'm a dog person. I don't want to PM with you, I want you to GET LOST and to stay out of my threads where you come in, and make a harmless thing another eyesore.
"Like others on my ignore list" has nobody on ignore list
Enjoy your free cat. Now please, if you would let people get back to real talks that don't involve your ghetto ass living room and stray cats.
"I grow pounds"

Thanks for your lack of a contribution to this thread. You growing longer than Bod was not why I asked Bod to speak to you, mods generally deal with the trolls, especially the ones they know, and have more or less witnessed them going about the behavior you have been, continuously now. Bod is the mod, the TC. IDC if you are friends or not, it shouldn't matter if Bod dislikes me personally himself for my views, you are blatantly trolling my threads and causing drama and I request it be stopped. I'm tired of your bullshit, get a life.

Ok. The Cat thing was slightly trolling but it's a reasonable question for a public forum.
What is a budget mycology lab? 3rd time asking...
Considering not all of us are on the same myco path, I was genuinely curious has to what you define as a 'lab'.
That's not trolling. It's asking a question that got a melt reply now twice because you don't like me. Boo boo.

Ignoring people only covers your own eyes just like putting a towel over your head doesn't stop other people from seeing you.
I'm a dog person. I don't want to PM with you, I want you to GET LOST and to stay out of my threads where you come in, and make a harmless thing another eyesore.
If you want PRIVATE threads, put them in your own journal or somewhere that isn't public.
"Like others on my ignore list" has nobody on ignore list
I resemble that remark. Again, you can close your eyes if you want but don't expect others to join you.
Enjoy your free cat. Now please, if you would let people get back to real talks that don't involve your ghetto ass living room and stray cats.

Above part of quote censored due to blatant trolling and name calling

Perhaps you would get more helpful advice if the threat of being put of your ignore list wasn't mentioned so often? I could constructively add to this thread but I won't do it.
I suggest closing or deleting this whole thread since it is way off topic but do what you want.

I don't know but there's something beatiful about growing quality tubs by making use of as little fancy equipment and materials as possible, it's even far more rewarding in my opinion. I've been really hard pressed to source equipment and materials where I am, even the grains I can get locally are shit quality, but that forced me to find easy and cheap ways to get around those shortcomings and problems, which is a good thing.
For the average home grower a SAB will do the job just as good as a FH, for instance. Polyfil is cheap and an excellent filter. GH's are really not needed for cubes. You can effectively convert a PC into a sterilizer without any mods. You can clean really dirty cultures fast without the use of antibiotics the list goes on and on...
Go cheap and easy when you can go cheap and easy and use your creativity and energy to go around the problems you encounter along the way without having to resort to costly solutions.

Thick seal timed magnetic impulse sealer is one off the top of my head.
-------------------- But if you're in a hurry, and really got to go
If you're in a hurry, might have to find out slow
That it's one thing to try and another to fly
You get there quicker just a step at a time
It's one thing to bark, another to bite
The show ain't over till you pack up at night

The only things most people's "labs" are lacking is a good torch and a flowhood/bag sealer if you wana go big. Everything else that is lacking in a diy home lab is skill

I bought a 12" 5mm seal magnetic-hold impulse sealer and it is the best thing I have ever purchased for this hobby. It was pricey though, like over $200 if I remember. It is sweet, makes sealing bags a total snap and the seals always come out perfect. Highly recommend 10/10

Big PC, there's no PC big enough for this hobby. The rest should be cheap stuff unless you wanna go really big.

Plurfect you aren't entitled to privacy or lack of scrutiny in a public forum.
MB posts in all the interesting threads potd, general, off topic, and tons of simple question threads helping noobs for years. To actually think he specifically targets your threads is laughable dude. Maybe its a millenial thing lacking the ability to deal with adversity
My thoughts on fancy gadgets is .... i see far more people struggling with marthas and LCโs ,than i do with simple effective methods like a sab, a regular mono, a2g, & g2g. The more people stray from proven successful methods before they are proffient in basic methods seems to spell failure more often than not. Not only has that been my observation but my first hand experience.
