can human pathogens ( e.g influenza ) contaminate mushrooms?

Basically are viruses from humans like cold, flu, etc at all going to impact mushrooms?

basically wondering if its safe to do myco work while home sick, taking the normal precautions i already do to avoid contamination.

Im not a doctor but i never heard such things...:shrug:

You beein sick is more related to your immune system beeing weak for several reasons..

But can definitely happen the reverse....that a mold can attack your healt...:crazy2:

No. Human pathogens don't grow on grain. :wink: They don't consume carbohydrates, they feed on specific tissue cells, you need to have tissue agar specific to the pathogen to culture that bacteria/mold/virus.
You inhale and exhale millions of airborne spores that can affect mushrooms anyway tough.
