Pick and twist, scissors or knife to harvest?

I started off twisting at the base of the mushroom until it would break free from the substrate. Then I used scissors and now am wondering if the open base of the cut mushroom will be prone to contams?

No problem man post us some pics of your success, I use scissors myself and try to get as close to the sub as possible and I never have any problems, but some like to leave stumps, I would have to say both are fine. I'm going to try bods way and see how that goes for me as he's pretty damn good and I trust him fully, It'll be interesting to see how my consecutive flushes compare doing it his way vs how I normally do it. Always something new to learn here.
