Yeah I'm pretty confident they are libs. The nipple is very distinct on them. I see small amounts of blue on the bottom of the veil in the right picture.

Psilocybe semilanceata. Did you find these now? If that's the case it's pretty unusual.

It is unusual, we haven't been given any really hot or dry weather here so the ground is moist enuf for one or two. Also have u ever seen blue liberty caps lik 95% blue and that's before u pick them I've never heard anyoke saying there libs are blue, I found a couple freaks
I've also managed to grow liberty cap on brf, then I found out it needs a symbiotic relationship with durt or mud or the grass not sure witch to start pinning. I know it beleaved to be incredibly dificult but why not try right, if any of them fruit i will put up some pics, any advice is welcome. Good hunting

There have been some finds posted on here in the past:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/6186617#6186617
I've never seen them like that though. I'm not sure if it is from psilocin oxidation or just a pigment issue. If you manage to find any it would be interesting to get them sequenced.

I believe the only successful attempt at getting P. semilanceata to fruit indoors so far is this:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/11419690
I don't believe brf is the best medium to start a culture with this species. I believe it would be best to get them going on agar first, then transfer to grains. But I'm not a cultivator.

Very good so some people do find blue libs,iv seen them blue on the cap and stem. if I find one again il spore print it if possible. How would one go about DNA analysis to check for variant species?
Ya brf defo isn't the best but it shocked me to see it completely take over cakes I still have quite a fue, even put some back in the ground to see if libs will appear in the lawn.

You can send tissue samples to Alvalab in Spain: http://www.alvalab.es/services.html

When were the cakes inoculated, and how much time did they take to colonize?
Chance of posting pictures of the jars?

this is all my jars, each of them started with just brf then I put them in a biger jar with mud Moss and grass, u can actually see them mycelium spreading out into the soil, started some back at Christmas time and the others about two months ago they do grow slow but iv given them no air flow or correct temperature so there doing good with no effort.
I didn't sterilise anything apart from the brf cakes, the soil was dug straght out the garden and put right in a jar with the fully colonised cake, and it seems to be working.
Also each brf cake did just sit around for quite awhile fully colonised doing nothing before I made my next move

Are the leftmost two fully colonized P. semilanceata? That's a pristine white you got there.
I'm not sure that your method involving that unsterilized soil and plant material is gonna check out in a positive way. Not that I want to discourage you in any way. Please try!
A bit disappointed that there aren't more comments in this thread.

That's really awesome, hopefully you did successfully cultivate liberty caps. But as Anglerfish stated, with the unsterilaize substrate, it could be anything. But keep trying, and posting pictures. Would like to see how this plays out for you

Yes they are all P.semilanceata, the two on the left are about 75% 80% colonised took about 2 months. Thank you they do look happy and healthy.
The jars with soil and grass there brf cakes were drying up and getting much smaller so I said I'd try something instead of throwing them away. U can see the jar with grass on top has miselium branching out in to the soil so it must be compatible to some extent
The other jar with Moss and soil is being eaten by the miselium, it's also branching up and over the moss, I still couldn't tell u if it will pin because of this.
Also it's a great liquid culture.

Nice lib!
The first picture is a Panaeolus sp., possibly P. acuminatus or maybe P. fimicola, I think.

It's very rare to find libs in spring in the northern hemisphere. Congratulations!
