If it was a solid clump in the syringe maybe. It's hard to say.
When I'm uncertain I start a new batch asap. That way when failure pops up I have a cushion to fall back on.
Not saying you're going to fail, it's just the way I roll personally.

You should do this even when everything runs (or seems to run) smoothly. More mushrooms never hurt anybody

941s are great, because you can fit so much in them. If you are looking to accomplish shorter PC cycles, safely, then you'll need to up the psi's. Consider shelling out the extra 35 dollars to get a stopcock replacement for weight mechanism. Stopcock makes device silent, and barely releases any water even during long PC cycles.

Hi all, grain jars reached 100%. I opened to smell and they smell like mushrooms. The surface of the jar has what I hope is airial mycelium. It does appear slightly whiter than the mycelium on the grain. Is this a contam of trich? Or someThing else?

Think I got a little too eager with my current grow, in a 32ish qt sterilite, ~3 inches of sub, popped the lid after 8 days and have been doing the flip and look for two days with occasional misting. Some aerial myc and the myc that was going up the sides has receded and matted a bit.

Lid back on sealed, with 4 lil quarter inch holes covered in MP at the top for GE. Sorry, colony!!!

No need to mist until after full conolization. If you did wait then it's a bacteria problem

I got my new media pour bottles in the mail, and DAMN! these suckers are huge! Maybe I should have gone with the 500 or 750ml, but I went with a liter. How much agar can I PC at a time, is there a hard and fast rule? Pretty sure I can go up to 800ml, but smaller bottles only get filled halfway, so... hm.
Re: lids and micropore tape: It's not usually labeled specifically as micropore tape. It's just paper medical tape (which is what you want, the plastic tape melts in a PC). That's what I use instead of SFDs. If I'm making a SHIP (no earplugs lol), I just use regular-ass silicone caulking, which has operational temps up to 400 degrees, since it's cheaper and less messy than the gasket maker stuff.
