Oat Berry Jars?

I have some g2g oat berry jars that are kind of stalled at about 3 quarter way. They are very strong, but have really slowed down. How do I speed that up? Is that possible? Do I introduce light or not? I have quite a few so I was wondering if took the top of one or two and gave them light would they start to fruit right out of the jar mouth?! Just like all those cool freaky pictures I see? I would love to do that! Can any one tell me if they have done that?
Thanks

YOU HAVE TO POST SOME PICTURES FOR US TO TELL YOU WHAT WE THINK. oops, caps lock. but if they really are 3/4 colonized and dramatically slowing than they are either dry or aren't getting air. do you have ge filters on the lids?

Yes I do have GE filters. I think I figured out the problem, these g2g jars are the first ones I ever did and I think I did not leave enough room at the top of the jar and I did not shake them. I did not know, does that sound right to you. The question now is what do I do with them I have quite a few and they look great?! Can you take the top off and just grow them out of the jar itself? I have some other stuff growing so I am not afraid to experiment. In fact I'm dying to experiment! Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks

you can't take the top off and fruit unless they are fully colonized. if they aren't they'll get fucked off straight away. colonized spawn is very strong and contam resistant. that's how people do what you are talking about.
if they are slowing down it is not because you didn't shake them or because they are too full. a shake might be a good idea though. I think they are probably too dry. you can shoot some sterile water into them and then shake them if that's the case but you have to do it correctly or they'll get fucked.

Well the shake did not work, I think Your right they do look a little dry. What do you think, go into my SAB and transfer the mycelium to a another medium. Agar or a berry bag. No big deal except one strain is not backed up and I need to save it.
Thanks

how long ago did you shake? it'll take about one to two days for it to recover. give them a minute and, like i said, unless you post pictures We can't really know what's going on.
it all depends what your problem is. could be a contam in there could be you prepped too wet or too dry, or could be insufficient gas exchange. if there is no contam and it's just too dry you can inject a small amount of STERILE water from a syringe and shake it up to redistribute the moisture.
you can take a grain out and place it on agar if you don't have the genetics backed up. I've done it with success.

Quick question I'm doing a big grow and I want to know how many quart jars you can put into a 54 qt sterlite? What is the perfect amount? I want to pack it full!
Thanks

the more spawn you use the more nutrients the network has to work with but the more sub you use the ore water it has. Typically it is recommended not to exceed a 1:1 spawn to sub ratio. so 8 quarts of spawn to one brick of coir would probably be the max but that might fill your 54qt pretty full. people argue about the best substrate depth but pretty much everyone seems to agree that there is no reason to exceed 4 inches. some folks go with 2 inches. i usually go with 3.5 to 4.
i think you'd probably do best mixing 5 or six quarts to one brick coir or cvg mix.

Bust em up and nock em with 2ml per qt h202 (3%) and then shake. Most likely bacteria or lack of o2. Either way this should work.... if its mold your fucked. Could be lots of factors or compound factors...
