Best method to store spores/culture for about 2 years

Hey guys,
I'm kind of an intermittent mushroom-user, so I can get by quite a while with the results of my grows. Since I regularly have a lot of trouble with non-viable spore prints after about 1,5 to 2 years of storage I just wanted to ask what's the BEST way to keep 'something to grow mushrooms from' alive over a period of about 2 years without having viability problems and that can be used in the pf-tek?
Thanks in advance!

Slants are an option. Agar in a testube/jar inoculated with mycelium. RR used to put a little bit of wood in it to elongate the life further.
As for spores, syringes have a longer life than prints. Your unviable prints could be revitalized by making them into a sryinge.

Make a print inside a sterilized mason jar. Make sure all moisture is gone from the jar and seal. Store at room temp in the dark. People have seen things come to life after 5+ years. Spores can last a very very long time and potentially survive quite harsh conditions.

Especially when you introduce that piece of wood into the slant, if not you drastically reduce the viability of it to about 6 months.
