Drying/how to tell if rotten fruit? Pics inside! Need advice
    #25143577 - 04/16/18 03:02 PM (6 years, 8 months ago)

So i harvested a few fruits for the first time from one of my cakes. I picked a few two days ago, a few yesterday and the remaining fruits today. I’ve had them on a paper towel with a small fan blowing on them. Today i bought a dehydrator and tossed them all in there together.

However, I’ve never even seen shrooms untill these started growing, so obviously i don’t have a clue about how they look dry/drying. How can you tell when a fruit begins to rot?
Do they all look safe still? The two/three day old ones are on the left (top) the freshest are on the right (bottom).

Once they are cracker dry, s it safe to store them in a sealed mason jar?

They look fine. Make sure they're cracker dry, as you said, and yes you can certainly keep em in a jar for freshness, I do.
