Question about fruiting process
    #25142860 - 04/16/18 09:15 AM (6 years, 8 months ago)

Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my post.

This is my first attempt at growing, and it has been 7 days since I've moved the cakes from the jar to the fruiting chamber. On about the 3rd day this one mushrooms started to grow. So my questions are: How do the rest of the cakes look to you, why is this one mushroom growing so fast, and if I should harvest just the one mushroom at some point and wait for the rest of the cakes to produce?

They're suffocating. Sgfc is built wrong
Also they're not rolled in vermiculite.

And yes of course you'll have to harvest that one shroom eventually

I started the same exact way. Experienced exactly the same as my first grow. Look into making a proper shotgun fruiting chamber. The cakes need a dunk and roll. Cakes look healthy, lacking fresh air exchange. Harvest that 1 mushroom, then dunk and roll and place in proper setup. The results will amaze you.

An air pump has absolutely no place in trying to grow mushrooms
They were part of 20-30 year old designs that worked for shit. You've mixed teks up because air pumps don't go with the perlite fruiting chamber anyway.

I agree with bodhi!! I have even tried reptile terrarium humidifiers, dont waste time on air pumps
