I got one cactus removed the flower without damaging the main stem. Luckly they only glued it to the thorns.
Id assume most do it on purpose to pervent new growth and permot rotting by people watering when it is not growing.

Well, some stupid sellers fasten the flowes with needles so hotglue seems a step in the right direction at least. Have you seen some also paint them in all possible colors with this metalflakes so they should be shiny and look nice. That the plant later dies doesn´t seem to bother them at all.

They do not look nice. I don't think you meant it so I wont joke about it too much. I've got my eye on you though...

Agree with the id of vatman's cactus.

Yeah that gluing of flowers to the tip kills me
Esp when they are in bloom of their own flowers at the same time! i mean geez, genuine cactus blooms are some of the most impressive in nature. I see their angle and perspective, but its fucking ridiculous. Genuine cactus blooms should be celebrated and encouraged here. Hell, they need a depiction of something blooming? then put a fucking plastic card in the pot w a picture. Who the hell finds an apple tree w apples on it at the nursery? Or any fruit or nut fruit tree for that matter. And if someone was in the market for a tree like that, what are the odds they wouldnt buy the tree if it wasnt bearing the desired product at the nursery? Okay, im finished ranting now
