Unhealthy fruits ?
    #25140411 - 04/15/18 08:08 AM (6 years, 8 months ago)

Growing is slow due to 20 celsius temperature,
but they are soft almost looks roting to me
with brown strips on steam and under cup  :badshroom:

I dont know, to wait caps to open (desperately needing prints)
or to harvest to save some :mushroom2:
Or too much water (I'm spraying water and using humidifier inside SGFC?

Ditch the humidifier, i tried it and it wont work. 4-5inches moist perlite. Works awesome, i use my lid to control the humidity, ex.leave it loose, off,or tight. Its a standard sgfc.

Im not a pro, and learning so take my advice with salt.
But i think the humidifier puts out the wrong kind of moisture/humidity.
I screwed around with one and it didnt work. If your doing cakes, the perlite standard sgfc is the best.

They would have if you were more patient. They pin when they're ready. Using a humidifier doesn't make them change their mind.

Sounds normal. My first log I had some trays just starting to pin when others who were introduced to fruiting at the same time were on their third flush. That's why my motto always is if there's no molds, keep it going.

Thats not the case, its just the humidifier puts out TOO much humidity.

You really should only have about 60% humidity when fruiting.
High humidity and low temps is why his fruits look like that.

Ah nah man i know.
Sorry if i seemed like a dick I was just trying to help OP out.

From everything i've read on here those humidifiers cause more problem than harm.

Yeah. The sgfc was made by RR who lives in a very dry environment. It was made for set and forget because he was working 12 hour shifts every day. He wanted a chamber that didn't need a humidifier and thus the sgfc was born. My opinion for the op is to not deviate from the tek. Can we see pics of the room/environment the chamber is in?

Here is the room (please don't judge the mess)

the fire stove was running until recently, and is possible that it was drying the air

Humidifier is running controlled, so no problem with it  (probably)

The new way of forcing pinning is covering with plastic bottle, 3-4 days
this one is pined like that, and now repiting the metod

with this one I even go vilant, because this one was infected during colonization
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/24985298

(dont have more perlite at the moment)
And at the end biggest hopes: All of the cakes when start to becoming moldy I dump them, surrounded by sawdust, some oyster logs.. hope for  the best, when right conditions.
( I have read about this, people with no pining in chamber home, and nice flash outside)

What on earth is that wrapped around the cakes? Looks like a burlap sack?

A sgfc needs much more perlite than what you currently have. 5" depth is what you want. I'd do that and ditch the humidifier.
