Cakes only pinning on bottom
    #25138598 - 04/14/18 02:27 PM (6 years, 8 months ago)

I feel like I read that pins only from the bottoms indicate low humidity. I have 6 cakes in a SGFC.

A few cakes that have aborted pins that appeared on the bottom.

Should I dunk cakes that have aborted pins?

I've been misting the cakes directly, but I think I might be over misting.

Would a better tactic be to spray the perlite more, and then the cakes when appearing dry?

You probably dont need to dunk.
Couldnt hurt to make sure the perlite is hydrated properly (remove cakes, run perlite under shower head, drain, level out, put cakes back)
Last I knew it was best to mist cakes indirectly.

By remove them... do you mean eat them?
