It is what you think it is. Reality is all about perception.

See above.

Reality is your creation.

The eyes see light, but the eyes are seen by consciousness, which is another eye, your third eye, which can tune to different levels of the dream.

It's all a big party. Suffering is simulated like a computer game. It doesn't occur to Self. Everything, including your life, no matter how grandiose you make it, is fleeting, except Self. Self is tuned into Heaven. There is no time between when you lose Self and when you gain Self. You are already found. The spiritual path is just another delusion; the delusion that you have lost Self and need to gain it, instead of the delusion you have lost Self and need to gain prestige, fame, money, pleasure etc.

So relax.

All will come right in the end.

And there is no time, so here's the end.

I just want the truth.

What is this place? Not what is my perception of this place, but what is this physical realm of which many living and conscious beings have come and gone?

I do not believe I created this in my mind prior to my current birth, as convincing of claims as you make..

Am I wrong to feel as if I was born Into slavery?

Do you tell a cotton picker to change his perception ?

It makes me wonder why then was I born into this life, why am I not free? What is this place that bounds me?

Reality is created by my perception of the  place, which is why I beg the question... What is this place to which my reality gains form...?

Why are we not free....

You say you want the truth, but their is no such thing as the truth when reality is determined by the way you see it. Basically, how can there be truth where there is only the way we perceive the truth? There is no way to really prove any of perception is correct. I guess the closest I can get to telling you where this is, is by saying, this is the human experience and everything you experience here is true to the being experiencing it.

you did not create what you physically contact even if you choose what you touch and see by planning your day.

you did create all of the meaning or "truths" via perception:
which happens one step after sensing;
perception is the matching of what is sensed to memories -> hence, the question:
"is this hell?" means that you relate what you experience to "hell" either by word, or by similarity to aspects of hell you have discussed and thought about,
this is what is ready for instant access in your memory.
you put it there, in memory, or you have cultivated the seed of it after your family or social group put that seed in your mind.

in any case, you can either indulge, suppress - or find a middle path between.

can you describe an example of what a middle path between would look like rgv?

would you say distraction or diversion is a form of suppression? i certainly don't want to indulge or supress my frameworks that appear to lead to suffering...but i don't see a middle path as being something in reworking that framework....is there perhaps a fourth way?

one of a billion scenarios could be ---
While observing your mental contents arising:
sensations are noticed - oh, an itch
impulses are noticed - how to scratch the itch
reactions are noticed - scratching the itch
sensations are noticed - the itch spreads
perception is noticed - this is restlessness - one of 5 hindrances
impulses are noticed - more scratching is possible - indulge (?) or suppress (?)
context of hindrance noticed - hover relaxing and view options,
sustained middle path selection noticed - resume observing mental contents arising

The slavery I speak of is of the mind. The inbility to (legally) explore my consciousness. That to help others do so could result in my physical imprisonment. That we are mentally enslaved since birth to perpetuate the current status quo.

It seems my options are to as you said, embrace the slavery, or risk imprisonment for going against the grain and against the powers that be.

I've heard it said to walk the Middle Path means replacing “either-or” thinking with “both-and” thinking.

I believe the goal is to avoid getting stuck in habitual bipolar all-or-none and black & white thinking.

I was reviewing this question several times
and today I noticed:

I do not actually see the potential in most cases of a distraction or involvement with hindrance until it is actually in me,
i.e. when I am actually already thinking of, or visualizing or beginning to scratch or otherwise experiencing the first part of a cycle of thinking or remembering or planning.

so, while assessing my posture and my mental contents I see I am already into a side trip (characterized by hindrance, eg desire, aversion, sloth, restlessness, doubt), so I  accept the fullness of my mental contents including posture etc. and resume my breathing meditation without FURTHER indulgence, or suppression.

you could say that resuming the meditation is a kind of suppression, but this is not exactly right, as I am returning  to my practice of following the breath, not turning away from the hindrance  into whatever.

I hope this helps.
