How can I be save when browsing and not being followed?

Hi guys,
Just wondering if this set up is getting anywhere.
I'm using a vpn clockwork it's always on changing the ip everytime my pc goes to sleep. Firefox with the addons.
Cookie destroyer. Destroys cookies every time I close a tab.
Ublock ad blocker
Addon that changes my Firefox to another browser and Changes the display size for the oudside world everytime I start new session.
Dd-wrt Addon.
Tor occasionally.
Thinking of buying a proxy or socks5 or is that overkill?
And offcource duckduckgo to search.
Ccleaner cleans browser after every close and cleans the pc after every shutdown
Or is it easier to just make an encrypted Ubuntu with a virtual computer ru vmware to leaf no trace.
With this settings youtube is unavailable fb is unavailable Google and Gmail ask my everytime iff Im a robot and cannot do a search because it keeps asking.
Not trying anything illegal I'm just a little paranoid after a friend explained to me how easy it is to do a complete takeover from pc to identity.

Unless you are into child porn or selling large amounts of drugs, you are probably just wasting time with all that stuff.

Depends what you are doing? As time passes and laws change against individial privacy it will be harder and harder.

I once had a roommate like that. He once logged on to some script kiddie topic in 4chan, decided he was a l337 h4ckz0r, and proceeded to put up so many firewalls and VPNs, and demand that I did the same, that I just got a second internet connection to the house.
Point is, there is great value in simply going with the flow and not painting a bigass Target on your back. Everyone knows that the valuables are in the safe, nobody bothers to check the drawer next to it.
Based on my conversations, he's never gotten hacked in his life. Nor has his identity been stolen. Just be smart about what you post online.

See my signature for help with privacy and my offers in regards to that.
Seriously, just use TAILS. No need for a vpn, that can be problematic.

Thanks bubbles good info there! My Firefox already was set up that way. But there where a few new addons that I didn't now about.
I have to use a vpn because otherwise I will get fines when downloading movies and stuff.
Feeling a little bit more secure now!
All the people that say that privacy is bull. I don't agree with you even iff you have nothing to hide. I'm not going to do a rent but knowledge is power remember... And do you really want to give your government or any organisation that power freely? They should at least pay for it haha
Maybe its different in America. But in the Netherlands we have the aivd it's the Dutch secret sevice. And it's known by fact they do more tabs a year then any other country in the west. And the netherlands only has 17 million people...
With that knowledge and the knowledge I learned from my friend. I'm happy I feel a little bit safer. Of course you will never be really save if they want they probably could. But this makes it a little bit harder for them.

If you use TAILS, you can, upon logging in, create an admin password. This will allow you to save stuff from the Tor Browser folder to other locations, such as onto a second encrypted USB drive.

Tor can be decrypted by NSA, CIA this has been proven a long time ago by leaks. Tails will allow for a clean boot enviroment but, even tails is compromised with todays military tech.

Not really. Got a source for that? There's an occasional exploit but it isn't fair to dismiss it entirely. Tor is kind of centralized trash though medallion excited for the Kovri project.

Just use the tor browser bundle, or ideally Tails.
You can run it from DVD or USB without saving any details for someone to find.

Could someone use Tails on an apple tablet? Or is it only compatible w desktop/laptop/'official' computers?
I have wanted to go the encrypted broser route for some time but i know nothing about all that.

That could still be intercepted but you would have to be a spy or high level criminal. NSA intercepts data in real time. You think a quantum computer cannot defeat current encryption? NSA owns the pipe lines they can intercept internet data anywhere and decrypt it.

Tails works only on the x86_64 architecture - basically PC's. Your Apple tablet is a different architecture.
You can run other encrypted browsers, but not Tails.

There isn't any evidence that the NSA is able to use quantum computers to decrypt data, and if they can they wouldn't use it except in extreme circumstances. Owning the pipelines does not help them decrypt data - the encryption algorithms assume that the pipelines are owned.
I am sure that they want you to think they can decrypt high grade encryption, so people won't bother using it. Snowden revelations indirectly revealed that they have no such capability - they had to resort to all sorts of other methods to break encryption. Secretly strong-arming companies to install backdoors in their crypto for example.

I have been closely following Vault 7 - it's full of indirect evidence that the CIA can not use quantum computing to crack encryption. They have to resort to all sorts of convoluted unreleased but old school style attacks that wouldn't be necessary if they had quantum computing working to crack encryption. They can't do anything that other hackers can't do - they have some good tools because they have a big budget to hire hackers, but they can't hire the best hackers because most of the best hackers smoke pot.
Anyone with a bit of skill and lots of motivation can easily uncover the types of hacks revealed in Vault 7.

I think they want to be overestimated, but when the leaks come they are really nothing special.

Tails is only compatible with amd64 computers. That's the common desktop 64bit architecture (intel and amd). I think Apple and most portables use ARM cpu's.
But you can always run Tor and use it as a proxy. That is distinctly less secure than the Tor Browser Bundle, and much, much less secure than Tails.
