East of the blue mountains started 2-3 weeks ago … West of the mountains is getting frosted!!

A quick report from yesterday's visit to Glenbrook - very dry - not a shroom in sight.
Seems like little of the deluge we had in Sydney made it to the lower mountains.
Any reports on conditions in the upper mountains & over the back - Oberon etc?

Found a few between leura and blackheath a couple of weeks ago but most patches i see have already been dug up. People are ripping out big chunks of the mycelium instead of just cutting the stems so there doesn't seem to be a lot left.

Nice work - do you mind mentioning which part of the mountains? Not asking GPS coords - just general locality please

Very exciting hunt today. First possible sub find ever. They seem to have bruised blue where I cut them. Do they look good?

Got plenty more in the bag

I feel like the season is kicking into gear now, around Syd. They're out there, I think check places around water, Barky, shady forest
Swim decided to go look local and got lucky n found his first patch in Sydney, although he left it.. I think tea is good too.
Will upload pics soon. Stay safe y'all, peace and love✌

They also look good to me tj, subs have a sorta thick shiny and blue! Stem But it's safest to get a purp spore print.
And damn ppl gotto cut the stems so they can regrow healthier and produce even more, shroms seem pree long too.

Thanks Shizz
How close to the coast do reckon they'll grow? Swim has heard that they're on the outskirts but was curious how close to the north eastern part of Sydney in particular?
Cheers

The biggest surprise for me was finding shrooms in an area like this:

Whereas I was previously looking in areas like this:

There's definitely heaps of mushrooms to be found in the latter but I reckon the magical ones are rare here. They love the artifical woodchip that gets laid in public parks. I spent a good hour walking along a paved concrete path and scanning the chipped beds along the side. Glad that I have a better idea of what to look out for now.
