Yeah, they killed my innocence stone dead. I got my first taste of misanthropy that day.
Couple of kids followed me out of school and hit me for no reason. I was so shocked I didn't even react.
That was the last time that ever happened.

Yay skateboards!
I love skating and the better you get the more fun it is!
I dislocated and broke my left hand trying to backside 5-0 a tall ledge about 6 months ago. SUCKED
But finally able to skate good again! Getting my flatground tricks back before I get more ballsy on ledges and stuff. Switch tres and the whole works. Summer is for skating! peace

I always really appreciated the flat ground stuff the most. Shitz crazy what some people can pull off on flat ground like Rodney Mullen.
Seriously anybody reading this that's into skating at all check out some Mullen videos if you haven't already. I don't know how some of the shit he does is even possible.

Enjoywho said: Nah. Lot of my friends did. One tried to "teach" me by having me do vert when I was still learning to do flat ground lol. Almost broke my ankle. Couldn't walk for about 3 weeks.
Snowboarding has always been my thing. No matter how big you go on a big pow day snow will catch you
Did he put you on a ramp with actual vert? Or was it just a regular quarter pipe or mini ramp half pipe? Im just thinking that putting any beginner on a ramp with any amount of vert is an obvious nogo. Shit I wouldnt even tell a beginner to try a half pipe with no vert at all.
Ya having me drop in. My ankle almost snapped. I was still learning how to fucking ollie ya know. I couldn't walk for weeks. I was always more into snowboarding after that.
Killed skateboarding for me. Had to go in my place of work and having my boss berate me as skateboarding is for children. Never got into it again.

Personally no. But I still have a rock stuck in my knee from sliding on pavement. It's actually starting to go away after 10+ years

One of my engineers was seriously into downhill dirt BMX racing. I never even knew that was a thing until I met him.

I'll check him out. Never heard of him but I haven't been paying much attention to the skating world in the last 15 years.

Daewon's been around. As far as all time tech wizards, I think of Rodney and Daewon. Even with the insane level skating has reached now, as far as manuals, few could compete with the precision of these guys. They were about equal, but as for primo and caspers I don't think anyone actually does that shit except Rodney.

I miss it. I skated throughout my teens and twenties. Now at 31 I haven't been on a board in what feels like a lifetime. I'll wear the skate fashion til I die though. DCs, Bullhead jeans, a Circa hoodie...just feels right

Watched the video plus few others of daewon and few of Rodney's even though I've seen em already. Surprised I've never heard of daewon that's exactly the type of skating that I was into. Makes me want to go out and buy a board. I spent a lot of my time skating trying to do Caspers and primos, I could get into both of them but could never really slide in those stances. Best I could do is go up a slope get into Casper then spin 360 and then just roll out.
