More on topic, I had roots show up in my cloner this morning. This is black domina strain I traded someone for cuttings.

Is that a heating coil around that dynavap tip?

Or is it a piece of metal coiled around to retain heat longer?

Color me intrigued...

It's just a piece of copper wire to retain heat. I basically made a diy version of the full metal jacket accessory.

Northern lights

Got a major deficiency or possible over feeding going on with the NL but the flowers are fat and solid and smell amazing.

Did the deed.

I only have 4 of the self watering wicking bases. Gonna get a pan for the one till the auto is done.

Also have the Fox Farm dirty dozen coming tomorrow so that will round out my supplements.

I need some of those self watering bases. For when I leave for weekend and stuff. They would just come in handy.

I like them. They definitely work. Drinks it right up. $60 for a 4 pack on the zon. Fits 3 and 5 gallon pots. They have the XL size for 7 and 10 gallon pots for $80. AC infinity.

It's round 2, as my first ever cannabis grow was stolen in September when my house was broken in (and 10 more in the region that day, not even kidding ).

This plant is 6 weeks old. The top leaves are being burned by the light, but that little thing as reached the top of my grow fridge and I can't do anything about it.

Previous grow ended up like this:

What has changed between them is the size of the pot (bigger on the 2nd grow), and the fact that I switched from tap to rain water.
Could these factors explain the difference in size and shape?

Rain water is kin to steroids indoors. If I understand correctly you are growing in a mini fridge? If so, the top may be experiencing light/heat stress. Would be cool to see it in the fridge if you can.

Might be better to either chop the top or pull her down. Would like to see her house tho

Took me a while, but here it is:

Didn't know about the rainwater, super cool info thanks!

Maybe I'm wrong but it looks like you could use more light in that little box. I'm a big fan of using par38 LED bulbs in small setups. It would be very easy to add a couple. Just about any hardware store should have something like this.
https://www.homedepot.com/p/EcoSmart-120-Watt-Equivalent-PAR38-Dimmable-Flood-LED-Light-Bulb-Daylight-2-Pack-A20PR38120WES52/315605321

There's a few pics my old setup to show how I used them. I started with 6 bulbs and went up to 9 bulbs after my first grow was larfy.

I like that setup.

I grew inside a metal barrel at one point. Had a 100W QB panel in there.

It wasn't easy to keep conditions right for the ladies. IIRC I only used it as a pre-grow area because it only would have been large enough to flower clones straight from the rooting station other than pre-grow. Not my best experience. If the barrel would have been higher it may have worked better since there was really not enough space between the quantum board and the plants, and the V1 100W quantum board is not a dimmable one.

I still have a cramped space but now it's a little bit more reasonable.

Hats off to anyone who can grow good bud in a space as small as that.

100w seems about right for that size. Those par38 bulbs are 14w each, so my whole garbage can build was 126w total. If you know the wattage of that purple light you could shoot for 100w when adding more lighting.

My space is nowhere near that small but it's going to be a pain in the butt to refill the humidifier once my girls get big.

You won’t need a humidifier when your plants get larger, they will produce lots…  you might even need a dehumidifier for flowering…
I’m digging the Harry Potter set-ups.
I like having several stations to keep the plants rotating. Baby’s and early veg, later veg, early flower and late flower.

So I just started 6 seeds.
I put them in little containers with water for 24hrs. They are in the veg tent on a heating pad.
It gets cold at night so I wanted to keep them warm. I only germinating one of each kind so I hope I get 100%
Exotic Genetix- slapz, quikz, red runtz, flo-see
Green house- persian pie
Elev8- 2B Blunt

The quikz and 2b blunt I've grown once before and they was so good I wanted to try them again and maybe clone and reverse.

I'll keep updated on germination
