[edit] here is a picture of the bud I plucked off. maybe that will show it off better.

Hmm I would expect darker leaves if that was caused by nutrient burn. Are you growing in soil or hydro. Do you know what your ph or ppm is at?

The buds farther away from the light are doing fantastic still with none of these burned out leaves. This is an experimental plant so I don't mind losing smokes off it. I am thinking I should cut off the burned ends and attempt to dry it out.
I plucked off a piece from one of the biggest burned colas to see what the inside looks like and it is a very light shade of green underneath. It was also very dense while wet and my fingers were glued together. I haven't touched sticky weed since my first ever toke.
Is this only occurring on a few colas or all of the heads?

This is what I got from my lil' Sour D. It's been curing for a week so far. I let her out of her jars for 15min to breathe and got a couple pics.

Going the "organic" route....Do you know of something that can deliver a relatively quick "shot" of phosphorus and potassium?
Or is P & K more readily available to the roots/plant in general compared to N from organic sources?
Just wondering about what route to take as far as giving the soil/plants a boost of P & K since they're starting to form buds...My Slymer already has trichomes developing.
I was thinking about doing a top dress with some bone meal and/or high P guano...
...as well as using Dr. Earth 3-9-4 (Fish Bone Meal, Feather Meal, Potassium Sulfate, Alfalfa Meal, Kelp Meal, Seaweed Extract, micronized humic acids) as a top dress, and in a tea once a week.

Hey guys so... I kinda gotta tell ya'll something, I should be on the beginning of the flowering stage with my "fucking incredible fems" BUT... I think two of them are hermaphrodytes. :|
I am reading on a thread on another site that there's some things I can do. Mind you, to keep their water pH at around 6.8 pH is not really practical although it is best for my strain. I will see what I can do about that though too. TIA

Those things are putting on growth quickly.
I think I'm going to grow some auto's next time around. Just a few. Most of my plants will still be photo's but it'd be nice to have some erb to harvest a bit earlier in the year...or just squeezing in more "harvests" in a grow season in general.

After I got my med-card a couple years ago, I set up a small T5 grow in my basement.
Yesterday, I came home and found that I blew a ballast on a two switch system and only 2 of my 6 lights can function.
Shit.
This Sugar Cookie scrog is less than a month from finishing. I've got to get a new light quick.

Just change the ballast. It's easy to do.

My Auto's - About 4 weeks old now and budding.

This one looks different. It's the one on the far right pictured above. I know it's not a good picture because it's been really windy here lately. Any guess on what might be going on with this one? I'll try to get some better pics if you guys can't tell.

I also released 1500 ladybugs on my plants over two days. It was pretty fun. I had some flying insects in my indoor pots so I thought I would try them. I only released 20 inside and they aren't in my house. They don't seem to be eating the other bugs yet. Now I need to release something that eats ladybugs.

Gathering stuff to start a winter grow. This is what I've set up so far. A 3000w led bestva. So really 600watt? I'm not sure. Anyways thought I'd give it a try for the money. It's in a 4x4x6.5 tent.
Then I have a 6inch vivosun fan and carbon filter combo taking hot air out of the tent and going to have another 4 inch fan on the right blowing air in that I haven't got yet, it's in the mail.
Thinking of putting a shelf in on the right for clones and cuttings and other small plants.
This is an outdoor grow I'm working on now.
Does anyone grow other plants in with there cannabis indoors? If so, what? Thinkingabout some Venus fly traps, saliva, and other stuff...

Lol. Right on buddy, right on.
Here to share some honesty and horror
I neglected my girls just for two or three days, to be honest we had a fight, Bruce Banner is six feet tall now and she's touching the lights inside my tent, I had to put a tomato ring around her a while back and I had her secured all around the ring but she's just being a bitch, my monster Blue Haze plant with ten colas, and her twin Mary Lou are so heavy now the colas are just flopping all around everywhere, I run some plywood through the table saw to rip a bunch of long skinny stakes and I stab them all around the ring ang and learn all the colas against them but that only lasts until the next time i move the pot anf then it's heavy floppy colas flipping around and laying on each other, I just got sick of it, Im swampes busy and I've got reishi and pans and cubes growing and all my outdoor garden going and all my flower beds I just wanted a break man...
I had recently purchased a dehumidifier and threw it in the tent but i fant run it for long during lights on or the grow room 20A breaker trips. And it doesn't appear to be timer friendly, if you cycle it by the power it appears to only be in standby mode. Anyway, for two evenings I just let things ride. I live in a very arid climate, didn't think much of it.
Just two days and I notice the tiny sugar leaves kinda wilting and turning brown.real weird, fan leaves look ok, pot is heavy wirh water when i lift, I check my feeding sheet I keep an individual sheet for each lady and check RO water ppm and pH every feed or water to always know root zone parameters, things are fine.
I lift up oje of the foot long colas that was lazily laying on top of another foot long cola, and I'm immediately repulsed at a solid white cobweb looking growth completely coveringthe underside.
I have a real sub par phone camera because I always drop it and fuck tbe phone industry, but be glad it's not better resolution it may engage your gag reflex

So sad... After a bit of research I read you can try a vinegar water spray and see what happens (they say that for small spots maybe powdery mildew maybe a spot of budro, not a foot long run of it on the entire underside of the cola) I just opted to cut out everything. Four hours of emergency surgery, about six or seven foot long colas got cut off.
Luckily Mary Lou only lost one cola, I LST'd her better I guess she's able to hold her weight better but the ones i did first ehen i didn't know what I was doing, man they're flopping everywhere
Hindsight is 20/20 but I really didn't think two days was enough to flare up like that especially since I live in an arid area and during veg I had to add a humidifier to my tent. But my tent is 90% humidity at night without the dehumidifer now in deep flower... I know that now...
All in all I'm not too bummed. I'm a first timer so i have no idea how much that was, but Blue Haze id about 50% of the plant she used to be. I can fit a whole nother plant in my tent noe with her massive lost foliage. I have what will be an ounce to ounce and a half laid out drying that I was able to salvage off the topside of the colas and I tossed away twice as much .. they're big girls I'm hoping for half pound each i think that's realistic.
On the other hand I'm excited because I haven't smoked in a week and I'm getting to try drying methods now and continue my learning.
I'm not a fan of growing multiple big ladies indoors at all this is last time. Never again. Multiple smaller ones, sure, a few huge ones in RDWC or something, sure, but never this many beasts in fabric pots and needing this kind of stake work and having hardcore sativa's running all over my ceilings, my short ones are three foot wide four feet tall and Bruce banner is taller than me and draping everywhere and a bitch to move in and out of the tent she slaps the archways and ceiling as i carry her thru the house lol, good problems to have but still.
--always proud to do my part and havethe biggest failures so I can encourage everyone to share honest stories and we can all learn, I now have a heavy gauge extension cord runningto other room for dehumidifer to run all day, prob $300 mistakr i just made
Ps ibe read that's a huge indicator it wad very unique, my tiny sugar leaves at top of cola were wiltinf Browning and retracting amd the colas were looking weak and droopy but fan leaves we're fine water weight was fine. I've read that's highly indicative of budrot

El Torcho said: Don't spray your buds with coconut oil.
You misread. Spray coconut oil emulsion on plants before you put them.into flower. Prevents mold spores fom growing.
How? The plants double in size upon flowering. The most vulnerable parts are the colas which wouldn't even be grown at the time of spraying. Silica packets are good for enclosed desiccation, but it won't prevent bud rot which is an environmental humidity issue.
Correct. It will kill any spores or prevent their growth if they are present on plant when you switch to flower. Personally I don't grow for penis envy. I'm a topper. Keep on plucking!
