Aren’t those good bugs??

To be fair I’ve also taken a liking to that plant.

Well you can see how they bit the stem and leaves which can lead to rot as well.
I have to check often to nake sure they don't get out of hand but at this stage it's not too bad.
Interestingly enough it's only the thai that they are attracted to.

Thanks Doc!  Definitely the strongest roots/plants I’ve had so far.  Probably doesn’t hurt that I changed medium and got off bottled nutes as well.

What’s the best way to keep water pH’d and ready?  Currently using General Hydro pH Up/Down but looking for a more convenient way.

Resevoirs need constant ph adjusting. I've been looking into it. I figure a drip system would be easier to maintain if all i have to worry about is ph and not all the shit that comes with hydro feeding.

I've been eyeing the bluelab controller.

Also been thinking about doing this...

Sweet, thanks!  That’s what I’m looking for.  Will have to get one after my current run finishes up.

Looks relatively simple.  Think I’ll just go with the Bluelab.  They’re only $350 and that’s well worth it in my book.

My 70 ga reservoir for my flood table really doesn’t change much.  All I do is use pH down to the fresh solution to get it to around 6.0 as the water lowers the ph will lower, I just add back fresh water and it raises the pH back up, I noticed it dropped faster at times/stages but only a few times I actually adjusted it. If you are using feed lines and not recirculating to the reservoir I would think you’d only have to adjust it once until you refilled it or topped it off.  I was actually surprised I was thinking I’d have to mess with it a lot more.

I have tried my usual overdose.  I like to try killing plants with whatever nutes I use.  I made a pile in a pot once and it mighta stunted the growth a bit.  Idk.

Am I reading this right? Not enough time to properly feed the plants?
So how are you saving time by stunting them?
The inoculants/beneficials are bacteria/fungus that create a symbiotic relationship with roots allowing for easier/more uptake up nutrients, so applying directly to the roots is only going to speed things up, it would only take an extra 6 seconds per transplant to throw it in the hole. I'm sure they'll benefit from a top dressing of it though too. But I have no idea how long anything really stays in pure coco for tho.

Scraight out the cloner

Transplants from solo cups, nothing besides soil, ferments, and straight water, no additives.

Weather also broke for a week so was able to get outside and reamend all the garden beds, flower beds, and fruit trees

The struggle bus is still making its way down the road. But damn. I was hoping for a better grow. I really thought I was going to just set em up like tomatoes and smash this. I grew a lot of container plants before I had my own yard to till so I felt like I had a leg up….

Anyway. Here is my double grape. I have 3. It’s heavily amended soil  that I have only just now added a top dressing for flower. They sprouted on 1-3 and they all look like this one.

This is grape crinkle. I have 5.

And then I have planet of the grapes. I have 3 and they all look like this or even worse.

The tent was getting hot. Into the upper 80s possibly even the 90s. I solved that problem by venting my lights outside of the building.

Although I could see light or heat stress being a problem but my gut tells me it’s PH related but I couldn’t tell you why I think that. The soil is between 6.2/6.8 depending on which pot I test. I was using tap water I let set out for a few days but have started to ph it down to 6.2. I am at a loss. I hope I get something decent out of this besides just a learning experience. I’m scared to do anything drastic but I’m even more afraid to do nothing cause that’s what I’ve been doing and it’s not working out so well.

Can you guys see my pics? When I click to enlarge nothing happens. If not let me know I’ll try to get some better pics after work.

Those look great.  What kind of ferments are you using?  I’ve never used them but wouldn’t mind trying.

Yeah they won’t enlarge for me either. I don’t think I’ve seen that before.

Does that 4x8 tent have a divider in the middle??

If you are constantly having to adjust your ph… something is wrong.

Day 5 of flower.  I know it’s not perfect but I’m proud of the gains I’ve made so far this run.

This was my last run right before harvest.  I was using crap soil and bottled nutes.
