And here are some more clones I have growing outdoors. Blueberry pheno in front and lemon pheno in back. 2 of each under the scrog net and one lemon pheno growing naturally. That one that isn’t under the screen belongs to my girlfriend and I’m gonna encourage her to do some topping and LST to it, because I learned that the lemon pheno does way better when canopied.

Blue mystic colas. Day 47 of flowering. Originally I thought these were going to take closer to 70 days because they’re expressing a shitload of Thai and not very much Afghan, but most of the pistils are dry. I’ll start looking at the trichomes under the scope in another week. I started flushing them to be on the safe side. As far as I know these are an F1 of blueberry and a flo x Afghan F1. That’s like DJ Short’s greatest hits right there with a little Afghan in the mix. I’m glad I got a lot of that delicious DJ Short Thai in these phenos. Wish the yield was better but that’s gonna improve with the clones which are getting branched a lot more, not to mention the 4 clones I have outside under a scrog net.

And here’s four blue mystic clones and an aurora seedling in my garden.

And here’s the veg cabinet. Two more blue mystic clones (I probably got a bad yield because I took so many fucking clones), four aurora seedlings, and four white widow seedlings. That’s all I have going right now, and I’ll keep it updated here.

Here is what my green house looks like atm. All autos and one photo. I gave them neuts once but they didn’t like it so it’s been straight water since. The top claws seem to have fixed them selfs. Planted in May

This is the only photo I have going. og kush fem. planted late april

Few timewarp and apricot kush babies about 2 months behind the others

Beautiful! That OG Kush is going to be massive! We’re getting a decent amount of rain right now and my outdoor plants are really taking off. I think I’ll be weaving them into the screen in about two more weeks. I’m guessing they won’t start budding until late August so I think they’re going to get pretty big. I top dressed them with a mix of some good organic compost, fish emulsion, and vermiculite today. I also introduced a bunch of earthworms into the bed when I built it. I think they’re helping. I’ve also got a nest of wasps up there that I would usually nuke, but I’m leaving them since they eat pests. I’m going to top dress them once more with less compost but supplemented with guano and bone meal once I see pistils. I love how the little aurora in the middle is stretching to get as tall as the clones. The monsoon season is starting early this year so I have high hopes for these ladies.

So I noticed you’re doing a lot of autoflowers. Is there any big advantage to them that makes up for the fact that you can’t clone them? I know that they’re super easy. I know you can do multiple harvests in a season outdoors and you can do them inside under veg conditions the entire time, but I’m barely getting back into growing weed after a long hiatus. I’m still of the mind that you can save so much money by cloning photoperiod plants that I’m not sure the ease of growing autoflowers makes up for the genetic variation you get growing from seed as opposed to the stability of clones. I admittedly know very little about autoflowers and the effects of ruderalis genetics on the plant though. I read somewhere that the ruderalis genes boost CBD like crazy?

I’m trying all kinds of different topping and training techniques but the one I’m settling on is clipping the very apical meristem so the side branches directly beneath it grow out. Then however many main shoots I end up with get bent parallel to the soil and trained sideways. I’m gonna grow this one for another month or so before I flip her. This is the blue mystic lemon pheno and I think the one I grew from seed would have done much better had I trained her for an even canopy instead of just topping her a whole bunch and then taking so many clones I only left behind two untrained colas.
This one also appears to have the “duckfoot” mutation. Blueberry is known to throw out some strange leaves but this one looks and flowers way more like flo than blueberry. The other one that smells like blueberry has this weird mutation that showed up in the first set of true leaves and then disappeared until flowering, which is in the form of a 180 degree helical twist in the ends of some of the leaves.

Weed in the dark. I love how buds look with the black background. We should have a thread just for that.

The outdoor ladies are loving the rain! The more sativa leaning lemon pheno is already above the wire and they’re not gonna start stretching for at least 2 more weeks. The more indica leaning plants, the blueberry pheno and the aurora seedling may still hit the screen before they start stretching, but I want the entire stretch to go through the wire so I have plenty of bud sites and I can completely defoliate everything under the canopy. The blue mystic stretches like a motherfucker. The aurora probably won’t.

Lookin Good Eno!
What does everybody think of starting small clones now? Is it too late in the season? I think they cost about $15 each so I would need to get at least an 1/4oz each by the end of harvest to make it worth the effort, but flowering season is right around the corner
Here are some pics I took yesterday. The one plant should be done pretty soon I think.

Looking fuego!...
It is a bit late into the season....especially if they are small/baby clones and not teens. Personally I would not bother with any small clones at this point. But maybe you can make it work , I dunno, I can't really say because I haven't put clones out this late but it just doesn't seem worth it to me. We're about 3 weeks away from the start to the stretch/flowering, and when ever I transplant clones it usually takes them a week before their roots expand and take hold in the new pot.
If you can find some teens though, not too late for teens IMO....I don't know if you try to source your clones from "legit" places, but you can find all sorts of cuttings/clones/teens on craigslist out in the bay. I sometimes even see "mother plants" for sale around this time of season...Last year some dude on CL was selling a mother plant for like $50 around the time last year, putting a mother plant outdoors, even this late into the season, and you'll get way more than $50 of weed lol.
I was considering getting some more clones too, especially since one of my plants has shown male pre-flowers....but I don't want small clones, I want some teens, and I've been having trouble finding any around my area (lots of options of baby clones, but no teens).
I popped some seeds a few days ago, from seeds found in some of the buds I grew last year...I'm not expecting much of anything from them, but I have a decent amount of seed on hand and I was kinda curious so I germed them a few days ago. We'll see what happens.
Was it you, Loph, that popped some seeds super late into the season last year?....I remember there was someone in this thread that started some seed plants late in the season, and IIRC they got like 4g to 8g off each little plant.

Oh, and I dropped the net down so I could start training the outdoor plants, and transplanted the one in the pot. I’m feeling like they might be beginning to stretch but it seems about 2 weeks too soon. Either way I felt like I had to get them into the net ASAP or my yields would suffer.

I chopped my two indoor blue mystics last night. Beautiful buds but poor yield because of underpowered lights and not enough training. I’m fixing those issues before the next batch gets flipped. Got white widow and aurora that could go for another couple weeks but are already getting pretty big. I’m just waiting for alternate branching and preflowers before I take clones and flip them.
I just got back from SCI in Colorado. My outdoor plants had all grown a shitload. They were all under the trellis when I left and grew about 6 inches over it in the 4 days I was gone. I’ve gotten the trellis pretty well filled up at this point. Got a lot of nice branching. There’s 4 blue mystic clones and one aurora from seed in there. I think I’m only going to grow from seed outdoors in the future, because they really grow a lot faster than clones IMO. Next year’s outdoor grow will probably be candy kush and GSC. I’m really enjoying those OG kush and sativa hybrids right now.

I live in New Mexico. It’s hot and dry. It does cool off rather quick in the fall which is nice for bringing out the colors in the buds.
Who here has built a grow light? I’ve been thinking about it for a while and then I saw these at Lowe’s and went ahead and bought one as a trial. It’s a GE Nighthawk security light with a 3000 lumen 3500k warm white cob, and each light has a built in driver so they can run directly off of a standard 120 volt light socket. The heatsink on it is beefy as fuck too. I can throw together a nice track with 6 of these pretty cheap and easy and it will probably kill anything I can buy for the same price plus last a lot longer.

My Grape Pupil has been cut, dried, and is curing in jars now. The Terp profile is very lemon/sour forward with gassy undertones and some pleasant earthy funk.
