That’s some good lookin bud right there.

If I was planning on breeding then I’d make regular seeds but I really just want a stash of seeds for each strain and I hate growing and training plants not knowing if I’ll just have to throw it out after two months.

Plus right now I have just one fem seed for a few strains so it’s the only option.  I kind of look at having a stash of fem seeds the same as keeping a mother only way easier.

If I get males with the landrace seeds I’ll for sure be making more though. That’s the exception for me.

The only thing I can think of is it cuts the males out of the gene pool. Unless there are certain traits that are only carried on the Y chromosome or something.

But I had the same thought, as long as you’re using quality females it seems like it would be fine.

That first picture man…

What’s the plant up front??

Do you train them at all or do they just grow with all those colas lined up like that once they’re that size??

Man with much foliage no wonder the rh is so high!

What were you feeding them before? 500ppm seems to be in the sweet spot for the couple I’ve got vegging right now but I’m thinking about pushing it a little and seeing what happens.

Those roots are crazy, was the trunk buried before up to that line where the color changes?

Finally tried the dense bud from the last plant I took down.

I got a ten day dry with this one compared to 5-8 days with the others. The difference seems to be huge, it was really smooth and tasty compared to most of the other ones and it’s only been curing for 10 days.

Barely held on is all it takes!

They look good I’m surprised that back one held up so well as long and lanky as the tops are.

Has anybody ever had a storm blow the buds right off the plant?

Alright I soaked my two most vigorous clones with CS last night and this morning.

I just realized I left the bottles in a closet in a room where they didn’t get direct light but it was easily 100 in there for the last two months.

Hopefully it still works, only 30ppm.

Probably just gonna order sts mix.

I was outside la and started smoking around 2002 and it was the same way. The only time I saw brick weed with seeds and branches and shit was from two of my friends parents who smoked. So it was around for sure somehow, like 25 an ounce back then.

I wish I had some of those seeds still, I’m almost positive they just didn’t pull males where it was grown.

Fuck that’s frosty.

I can’t even imagine only having good weed for a couple months after harvest season

Weed was always 20/g 50/8th when I started.  The only named stuff was purple haze that would show up a couple times a year probably when somebody local grew it.

But it was all good stuff.

I had assumed that’s how it was everywhere until I went on a road trip and blew some peoples minds. Even in ca more inland near kern county people had never seen real bud.

Then in Illinois these guys pulled out a bag that I wouldn’t have even recognized as weed. Looked like lawn clippings.

It’s funny how everbody took one bong hit of the stuff we brought from la and insisted it was laced with pcp or something.

I wish they would keep that glowing emerald color from veg during flower.

Next time i gotta start training them into squares instead of circles.

Does wind still make branches stronger even midway through flower? I rearranged a couple and the triple cheese is bouncing in the wind pretty good now, not sure if I should leave it move the fan.

You could always just pour some ammonia in the bottom then drop in a bleach tablet and seal it up real quick

(Just in case, nobody do that ever).

I’m curious if that’ll work, it would be pretty sweet to have a little gas chamber to basically sterilize new clones or seedlings.

Do you guys usually have some burnt tips at the end of indoor grows?

I’ve been reading through a lot of grow journals and it seems like every single one the plant has some level of burn on the tips. I even noticed it in some of the ads that were running on the page.

There’s been a lot of people saying they run nutes at 2-2.5 EC too. Idk how that’s possible without frying the plant unless the few strains I’ve grown just like lower ppm than usual.

It seems like most people must be pushing the nute levels until they start to see negative effects and then back it off. Does it really make that much difference maxing them out?

Like my current plants I’m feeding 1.2 EC and they’re doing great, but would it be worth pushing them until I see burn? It doesn’t seem like it could possibly help add that much weight but there’s gotta be a reason people do it.

Yeah I figured if they’re happy why mess with it.

2.4EC just seems so insane. Unless maybe much larger plants can handle that concentration. But Like you said even 1.5 was more than enough.

I’m just aiming for no burnt tips this time. Been paying way too much attention to the color of the leaves too looking for signs of tox, but it seems like every plant gets a lot darker a few weeks into flower. I’m starting to get an eye for general healthiness regardless of color now especially having a few strains side by side and going back through old pictures and seeing how they looked as they progressed into overfed.

I’ve seen a couple people mention putting branches into a bucket of water when they’re trimming huge plants to keep them from drying out too quickly.

If anybody knows about water consumption I have a question.

I’m in coir so don’t have exact numbers but I do pay attention to the weight and how much it takes to get run off each day.

So around three weeks into flower this plant started really sucking up water. It stayed consistent through week six when it suddenly dropped off by about 30%. I figured it was just through the growth phase and switching gears, but then a few days later it went right back to drinking the same amount it had been before.

Is that normal? The only thing I can think of is that I switched the nutrients a little bit and maybe it took a few days to adjust?

Easily the biggest bud I’ve had so far, lcxcn clone.

Doesn’t look as big in pictures but I wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up being a quarter dry.

All of them are maturing a lot quicker this time, it’s at 6.5 weeks.  I guess the N overload really slowed things down before.

This triple cheese would be perfect for scrog I think. Every node has long branches but they’re really skinny and can’t support themselves. It’s like an entire plant of popcorn bud at this size though.

Double chocolate Filling in quick now

I had a leaf from a cut in my cloner tilt into the water and the whole stem got moldy quick. Thought I lost the whole bunch but it was fine. First time seeing mold on a plant though.

The triple cheese smells incredible it’s by far my favorite. It’s got this super strong sour candy smell. Kind of like if you opened a pack of those blue sour punch straws and then dropped a rose petal in the bag and smelled that lol. The immature dry bud from the mother has a very sweet creamy fruit smell.

The double chocolate started out smelling kind of this weird like sickly sweet scent that I wasn’t into, but now it’s turning into a pineapple/tropical fruit smell.

I always thought people were crazy with all the stuff they said they smelled in weed before this.

Another 100w led is supposed to be delivered anytime now so I can have the entire closet covered :dancer:

I hope I never get a shit scented plant.

Got my closet upgraded a little. About 340w in a 5x2.

I wish these daisy chained that would be perfect.

Triple cheese

These are going way quicker than before. The mother took 12 weeks, this is the clone at 7 today it’s looking like I might get it done in 9 this time.
