Planted 4 regular seeds and one autoflower/feminized One of the non feminized showed male flowers very early so I tossed it. These are the other 3 regular plants

Look like male flowers. Just can't believe all 4 seeds would turn out male.

My autoflower looks okay though:

Not sure if there is many benefits with the paper towel method, besides being able to eliminate dud seeds before they go in the ground.

This is my first time growing from seed as well, I went with autos because id like to pump out as much as I can in a short time period, and with the least amount of effort :tongue2:
I just used a cup of water till they crack open (usually 24-48 hours) then used paper towel till the root got a half of inch long and stuck it in the dirt.

My question is... How long before I can transition my babies into full sun light? I don't want to damage them but I also want to get them transitioned asap.

Ive been keeping them in the shade and today I just put them in full sunlight for the first time today for about an hour.
Here is 1 of 12. They are all within a few cm of each other for the most part.

Edit: Here is a couple regular OG plants I started inside a few weeks ago.
I didn't expect much from them because I have no grow light inside but they seem to be doing alright so far in full sun.

4 out of 5 seeds have popped open and pushing up as of this morning, pretty sure the 5th is about to poke up out of the soil sometime later today.

Those seem like they have stretched/etiolated a little bit...?...

Or is it typical for seedlings to have such a tall/long stalk?

Yeah, that's what I do. In and out of the shade frequently for a day or little longer depending. Then full sun with maybe a shade break and a little drink on the 1st full day.

Is shading necessary for seedlings? Or just a cautious approach/how you like to go about it?

I sorta recall asking about this in the thread last year, or somewhere else, and some folks said it's fine to start them under full sun right from the beginning.

We have some partly cloudy skies in my area today so they are getting both straight sunshine and brief moments of cloud cover.

I'm gonna say that it's possible that you give older, slower, seeds a better chance of germinating by not introducing them to soil life so soon. .....So for now, I'd say it gives a better chance for slower seeds to take hold before possibly being eaten by larvae.

If I find larvae in the paper towel seeds, I'll report back.

That's a good point and makes sense :yesnod: .

I don't know that it is necessary to acclimate them to sunshine. With some types of plants it is necessary so I just do it with all plants and they seem to like it. If it's cloudy then they go right out and adjust to sun once the clouds diminish.

Had a slight issue with all the bottom fan leaves going yellow early because my light too good(particularly on LSD). Took dressed a couple days back and they're doing better. LSD has continued to bud and Mex still stretching

Grape Pupil from Mass Medical Strains. 8 days after flipping.

I posted an image of the same plant when it was younger, about a month ago:

Super grapey on the nose. Like native sour grapes. Growing in Nectar for the Gods #4 soil, Growth Science Organics and Vermicrop topdresses for nutes. Microbe life hydro and Mammoth P for microbes. This plant is being grown under a Hortilux EYE 315 CMH. I really enjoy it, but theres a serious difference in my electric bill compared to when I was running a couple LEDs.

What's with all the unhappy leaves? How many light hours you giving her? She a photoperiod variety? It looks as if she's either unhappy or trying to revert back to the vegetative state. Could also be a bit hot in the grow room

Doesn't matter when you planted, you harvest when the trichomes are starting to go amber, check with a 30x or more loupe, harvest windows are usually over 3 weeks, and harvesting too soon is way easier than too late, so it's best to be patient.

but a few of them curled over yesterday day, I think it was too hot? :frown:
I lost 2 too heatstroke yesterday so I popped 7 more seeds lol

Here is my feminized OG plant, the only one I have thats not an auto.
Started her a few weeks before the autos, had 2 but the dog knocked one over :mad2:

18 hours light a day. All I know is it's afghan kush auto flower. I have never heard of autos reverting to veg. The grow room is no different from room temp. And it's a basement so slightly colder than room temp actually. The fan does a really good job ventilating it. I do agree it doesn't look 100%, and I used to grow when I was a teenager. I had a magnifier back then to look at trichromes. Not sure how I fucked up. The soil is pro mix HP with worm castings mixed in. I gave it cal-mag one time. A week after it started flowering I started treating with bat guano every second watering. The water I use is always pH lowered to around high 5s low 6.

Sure if you can tell these apart let me know lol
When they start to flower I should be able to tell the difference by the smell/ appearance.

Keep getting bites and chunks missing from my baby, I take it outside every day for sun and pop it under a fluorescent light for extra rays in the evening, its always 40 - 75 humidity max besides rainy days. I know some ants live near it too but should I be worried?

Once I saw some white flies chilling on a leaf, 2mm in length

Pitfall, the stetched one was overwatered young.. They will be seeded and then we picked a couple to release in clone only..   This layed over one is Malawi.... We've had two frosts, some ice pellets and hoards of bugs..These are three rows I've been picking through. First row Giggly wiggly F1(poly) , second row some Congo in F2, third row is Jamboree F1(poly) what's left smells like sour grapefruit on stem.. A tester was able to jump a beautiful cut in clone only out, that has us chasing Jamboree in three gardens... Hope its rad out there!!

same plant as before but better lighting. I've never grown 100% outdoors so it's kind of new to me, so far it's showing lots of preflowers but isn't really in budding mode yet (I guess that'll be another month or two before it gets going)
