I just checked and my tap says the N is 10ppm.
The nutrient recipe chart I used says to use 2ml calmag per gallon for late flower, but then i found a few sites saying not to use it at all in flower.
I’m just gonna totally cut out the calmag after early flower this time. Between that and what’s in the tap it must be too much.
Plus the tap water report said we have tons of calcium and magnesium in our water as it is.

The stuff I read said that you’ll probably end up with plants that aren’t autos but will have auto tendencies. Like faster flowering and flowering with longer light periods. A couple people had plants start budding on 16/8.
The tek said to take the plant outside and paint the buds with a brush, then leave it for like 8 hours and spray it down with a spray bottle to kill any loose pollen before bringing it back inside.
I can’t wait to start messing with seeds once my cuts finally root.

lol reveg plants look so funny.
I think you’re right it’s from too much N, I didn’t know that calmag had any in it and was using quite a bit apparently even though it was in the recipe for feeding coir. All my lcxcn had those weird little rounded leaves so I think it’s genetic. Hopefully
Supposedly the chloramine and whatever else will build up in the tips over time.
I’m cutting way back on calmag this time so we’ll see.

I saw an article that claimed it takes a decent amount of light, and it has to be constant, to cause problems.
It also said that if the light leak has been there the entire time it’s way less likely to cause problems than if it suddenly appears five weeks into flower.
No idea if any of that is true or not though.

Yeah I’ve seen quite a few people say they think the tiny little led power light on a timer or fan or whatever caused problems.

That sounds like you’re playing marijuana tetris with the plants.
How much did the Sativa stretch?
As soon as my last plant finishes I’ve got my first ever Sativa waiting to fill in the spot. I just talked to the guy who gave me the seeds and he said outside they were 10+ feet and inside they hit 5’ with a 30 day veg, so im not sure how things are gonna work out if that happens.
At least it’ll give me some idea what to expect from the landrace seeds.

Have you guys ever tried cutting the N early to try and keep stretching to a minimum?
I was just reading an article about stretching and that was one of the tips to keep plants shorter. Along with keeping temp the same day and night and using color spectrum light.

That makes sense, just like mycelium goes rhizo searching for food on low nute plates.
I’ve never heard of the light theory. I’ve been running this one waiting for a spot on 24/0. Guess I should start weaning it down just in case.

Well I’m primed to try that out.
I’ve got my Sativa vegging under a cheap Chinese “1000w” thats really 105w. I’m gonna switch it from 24/0 to 18/6 for a week or so and then move it to the flowering under the 240w xs2000 at 100%.
Idk if that’s enough of a light increase to make a difference though.

I’m starting to think that triple cheese plant I had that went limp is just weird or has plant retardation.
The clone from it has a lot of weird leaves. One, two, three fingers.

Apparently it’s pretty sensitive to nutrients too cuz the burnt tips are starting and the lcxcn looks like it might want even more and they get the same stuff. It is bigger though.

But it’s never been flowered is the thing.
I took a clone way back and it’s just been vegging up until three days ago.
The first month or so after it rooted i did just leave it by a window. It should’ve gotten enough hours of light but maybe that triggered something.

Nice, I finally see some roots starting on mine. I think I needed to use better water.
Ok so I did some more pruning, would you guys leave the two that I circled? They’re basically at the top but very thin and don’t have nodes except at the very tip. Looking at my plant finishing up it has a few similar branches that have very small buds.

Sooo many cuttings in the cloner now.
I’m pretty bad a telling clear from cloudy, but this one looks pretty evenly divided between clear/cloudy/amber to me. There’s definitely some spots that are amber from touching the bud.

I’ve never seen a topped cactus
It’s incredible to me that mescaline cacti aren’t more well known. They seem to have caught on more recently.
So gross though. Literally ever single person I’ve drank tea with has either downed it and said “I’m never drinking this again” or refused to finish the dose.
Then when it’s over they can’t wait for more.

Dude you gotta try the tea.
There’s so much other stuff in the cactus that I’d compare it to smoking bud vs smoking pure thc.
The mescaline I made from extraction was definitely cool, but it was much different than the tea.

Holy shit man.
You should carve that trunk into a bong, it’s got the perfect shape with the tilt of the topped part.
I hope one day I get to grow one so big I need a saw to take it down.

Do you guys see a big range in the feed requirements of each plant sometimes?
Right now in 3gal fabric pots of coir im feeding every other day. I started out going by the coco for cannabis chart guides but I was seeing clawing so I started cutting nutrients little by little.
At this point they’re growing fine and look healthy but im feeding at super low levels. Idk if it’s just these particular plants or maybe my hard water has some impact.
My total ec for each feed right now is about 1.2, but just the straight tap water is 0.9. It’s such a small amount of nutrients it’s weird.
Had I known my tap is basically pre loaded with calmag I wouldn’t have bothered adding it this whole time.

Yeah I was watering daily until I moved from one to three gallon pots recently so they’re not sucking down all the water yet. It’s coming though, another week and they’ll be bone dry if I skipped a day.
It’s just odd to be using like 1/3 the recommended concentration for cannabis. Which I guess is like 1/6 what it would say to use on the nute bottle
