PreparationH said: I am sorry to ask this again but I have just gotten new seeds and want to use new soil due to the issues with Ocean Forrest. What should I get, I think someone said Promix but there's multiple options. Any recommendations I can order off amazon is even better lol
Those auto's are growing in Sunshine Mix #4 Professional. They'll likely make it most of the way through their life cycle before they'll need any nutes. It's pricey on Amazon, but if you can order through Ace Hardware it's about half. Cheapest supplier I've found. Promix is ok, but it will require nutes much sooner.
Is this what you are recommending?

I found it on ace's website too for $60 cheaper if this is the correct product at least

Yea, I'm not too too concerned, I have enough weed from the last grow to last me a year and have that sunshine #4 stuff arriving soon for new plants.
My guess is the ocean Forrest, I was super busy early in the grow and stupidly watered with non pH fixed tap water a bunch of times and this thing never really recovered.
Also, I have ordered the sunshine soil mix. With this soil, will I have to fertilize right away or can I wait with this stuff?

Wait. Shouldn't need anything for a while provided you keep your input water at a good pH level.

sick, soil arrives saturday, gonna toss 5 seeds of Super Lemon Haze in water tomorrow.
Do you germinate your seeds in pH corrected water? Does it matter?

So I started 5 new seeds, already germinated and in little solo cups, question I have is how do you guys water them at this point, just spray bottle and heavily mist or should I soak it?

Should I just toss both of these plants lol. The left one looks like it is both clawing and has N deficiency to my untrained eye. The right one at this point is just an experiment to see how long it'll last because clearly it's fucked

Not totally sure, soil is fox farm ocean forrest I used to finish off the supply of it I had.
Early on I did give city tap water without pH fixing it due to time constraints, I guess maybe that caused more damage than I realized it would.
Other than that I feel like I did everything the same as I did with my last grow.
For fertilizer I have been using Fox Farms trio pack and followed their schedule

The schedule I have is actually different though than above, for week 4 mine says to give 3tsp Big Bloom and 2tsp grow big. It's more like week 10, I was just continuing the week 4 schedule because I wanted them to grow larger but it's not working out
Clearly something got fucked up though I am hopingi t's a mix between the soil, since I bought Sunshine #4 for my new seeds, and me giving un-pH'd water

That Sunshine #4 soil is clearly superior. I am noticing they all just look healthier than any of my previous plants from the start, growing faster etc. With that Ocean Forrest soil all of my plants first leaves looked bad compared to these

Let's try this again, tossed the 2 failing plants, checked my solo cups and they were ready, I don't have a mid range pot so right into their final spots
They're growing... Well... Like weeds. Definitely noticeable bug time like I keep saying between soils, thank you for this recommendation

What on the left? I took cutting and tossed it in a solo cup with water to see what happens.
Yea everything was cleaned, when I ripped apart the plants the root system looked pretty good actually, definitely think it was moreso a mix of the soil and giving nutes too early

I really enjoy this stage of growth when I check it daily and it doesn't look like much but then I look back to a 3 day old photo and can see them plumping up

No not auto's, I do not have a size pot smaller than these fabric pots yet so I went straight to these from a solo cup

Icon said: Are they autos? Pots are a little large for those. It makes it very difficult to water properly when the pot is 15x the rootzone. They already look a little stressed.
Just for my own sake, what makes them look stressed exactly? The color? The photos are taken the first the light is off while the second the light is on so it looks lighter green in photo two or is there something else?

They sprouted on the 10th so they're only like 15 days old, you think I ought to start fertilizing this early?
I'll just check on them next day or 2 and upload photos, gonna run by you guys the fertilizer stuff before I give it because I uhhhh don't wanna repeat of the last 2 plants lol
