Thanks folks! My buddies and I took to calling it dark matter. It does the job, indica dominant.
I'm also a big fan of autos. I like messing around with the dwarf varieties.
This one is MI5 from stitch. I wouldn't call it a strain as much as a massive collection of phenotypes under one name. It's a choose your own adventure strain, easy to breed.

If it has mold, you'll definitely see it. You can't determine that by just a sour smell. It's a good idea to place a hygrometer in your jar to determine if you need to move your buds out of the jar or if leaving the lid open will be sufficient.

Also it can be dry enough to jar within 24 hours if your humidity in your drying space is not optimal but a little on the low side.

I've read that strain is tough as nails. Always wanted to do a nice outdoor grow with it.

Drying in paper bags is going good. I hung the whole plants upside down for about a week, trimmed, and then brown bagged for a couple sday. Then I jarred them and thought they were too moist the next day so I bagged them for another day.
The Gelato buds were put into brown bags for 3 days and they're smelling much better. Still a slight sour smell, but much more weed like. They might just be a really pungent strain.
The rest are curing slowly in their jars. They still smell a little green, but it has only been a few days.
Here are my lovely ladies. Half of the pickle jar bud has been smoked already. I turned about 1 1/2 plants worth of bud into bubble hash. I think I'm going to use it for tincture.

I also have a Afghan Skunk auto and a mystery auto flowering in my back yard. They have a few weeks left before harvest.

Not really growing related but I just got this cool inexpensive pipe in the mail and felt like sharing. Also got some other stuff, rolling papers, stone grinder, etc. Just in time for legalization tomorrow! Only problem is I have like 0.1g of a bud left, just saving it for a celebration toke. My plants won't be ready for a month or two, maybe the cheese autoflower will be sooner (I hope). Anyway, this was mainly meant as a tobacco pipe so I'll puff on that while I wait for my buds.

Anyone know how well cannabis tolerates freezing temperatures? I want to harvest on Halloween, but I'm afraid the freezing weather will turn the buds to mush. Is this a thing that can happen? The plants have been sagging today from all the below freezing weather and I'm thinking I should just chop shop or lose everything.
Heres a main cola on one of the plants.

looks like its getting close! usually people will use one of two ways to tell if their plant is ready for harvest, either they will use the pistil method or make use of a jeweler's loupe or microscope and use the trichomes as an indicator. while the pistil method will work, if you don't have a jewelers loupe or microscope, the 2nd option will be more accurate. the general gist of the pistil method is to just watch the pistils or (hairs) and wait for them to turn from white to orange. if doing this wait till around 70-80% have changed, also note this isn't always accurate as some strains will throw out new pistils right when you think your nearly there.
the jewelers loupe/magnify glass/ microscope method is a lot more precise as you will be able to look at the trichomes (mushroom looking growths) on the leafs. while you can find ones that are super expensive, cheap ones work just as well. i think i got this mini microscope for $20 a long time ago and it does the job.
here's a handy little chart thing for reference if you are using this method.
it takes a while to get used to knowing what your actually looking at in the sense of cloudy or clear trichomes but after a few grows you'll know the difference.

I checked the trichomes a little over a week ago iirc, they were mostly clear then.

I'll pluck another bud tomorrow and take another look.

Sorry, that was ment to answer that other persons question. but none the less in your situation youd be surprised how well itll handle some cold weather as long as it isn't below freezing and its warm enough during the day. If you dont think they are ready to harvest and are worried about an early frost id say put a makeshift tent over them but it looks like you already have something over them. Maybe make it a bit more stable like a temporary greenhouse; if you can prevent your plant from being rained on/ buds being wet/moist youll have bit more of a chance of no budrot and youll be able to wait till halloween.

I love the recreational market in Washington. Some absolutely premium weed. World best quality.
Glues getting closer, I know times running out on me

Harvested a branch from the back corner of the greenhouse cause it had a bud rot spot on it.
