First grow, Super Silver Haze and Blackberry Kush.

They got a little scorched at first. Hopefully it doesn't stress them too much.
Third one in the back is a Roma tomato 🍅

I still have a cramped space but now it's a little bit more reasonable.
Hats off to anyone who can grow good bud in a space as small as that.
My space is nowhere near that small but it's going to be a pain in the butt to refill the humidifier once my girls get big.

I like having several stations to keep the plants rotating. Baby’s and early veg, later veg, early flower and late flower.
I would love to get dedicated vegetation and flowering spaces set up but this is all I've got for now. It's not my house so I'm working with what I'm allowed.

Transplanted my babies to their permanent homes yesterday!

I've got a really good feeling about this grow. I've grown plenty of other plant species but this is my first run with cannabis. I really love weed.

How do you guys calculate the duration of vegetative growth?
Do you calculate according to the height of grow space available?
I have read that I can expect up to a 100% increase in height after beginning flowering.

Are cannabis posts supposed to be confined to this thread or am I allowed to start my own thread in the ethno garden?

Those are good points.
I was thinking more along the lines of a grow log but I do have a thread in a different forum for that.
You guys have been great with being responsive and giving good advice. I really appreciate it being a newbie in cannabis cultivation.
Speaking of advice, I have my LED hooked up to an AC Infinity Cloudline smart controller and it's still glowing a little during the night cycle.
I have both the power control set to OFF and the LED controller set to Zero but they are still visible.

Do you think that's enough light to disturb the dark period?

I do know that it's impossible to see anything in the grow space with those lights on after my eyes have adjusted but it makes me nervous too.
I am running a Sonofarm SF4000Pro in there.
What a waste of money on a 'smart controller '. If it did the same thing with your Mars Hydro then it's the controller not the LED.
I guess it's time to go back to a reliable mechanical timer.
Edit: I do have a really nice PPFD meter and I haven't tested it yet but I'm thinking mechanical timer to be absolutely certain it's dark.
Edit #2: Sh!t I just realized that I'm still going to need the dimmer controller plugged in. I have a feeling it's somehow drawing power from that but I guess we'll see after I get the mechanical timer installed.

I just switched to a mechanical timer and it looks like some LEDs are still glowing but I had the door open.
Tonight I will look again with the webcam I have set up in the grow room. That's how I noticed it in the first place.
It looks like the LED is drawing power from the dimmer controller plugged into my Cloudline system.

HILLBILLY OUTLAW said: My controller draws its power from the exhaust fan connection. It came with the 6in AC carbon filter/fan combo. I would say you could still control the dimming function with the controller 69 just fine and run the power through the timer to just cut out the electricity to the lights ballast in dark periods. That actually just dawned on me myself and I think I’m gonna hook it back into in on mine as well and use it with the timer.
I snapped this webcam photo last night and it's official for my LED. It's drawing just a tiny amount of power via the dimmer control from the 69 cloud controller. It's much dimmer now that it's on a mechanical timer but there's still a glow as you can barely see.

I'm going to have to skip using the cloud controller entirely and rely on manual settings.
I doubt that glow is putting out anything readable by my Vibara VB-200 PAR meter but I want to err on the side of certainty.
Does your Mars Hydro have a Meanwell driver?
#Edited the picture cuz you couldn't make out the glow

Day 21

I was thinking of starting LST since they're beginning to put out branches. What do you think?

Grow tent assemble!

I've finally got a space heater in there so I can control basically all the parameters now with the Cloudline system.

Did some Christmas LST today.
I am probably overthinking this but do these leaves look droopy to you? I was thinking maybe I watered too soon before the soil dried sufficiently.

Merry Christmas

Yeah I was having that exact same issue with my Sonofarm 4000 when it was hooked up to my AC Infinity Cloudline system dimmer.
I switched to a mechanical timer and I haven't had any issues since.

I've been worrying that I should have gotten autoflower strains instead of photoperiod because there's a chance that the grow tent could be unzipped for several minutes during flower if my niece randomly decides she wants to open it.
Do you think several minutes of light exposure would mess up the flowering cycle if they were several weeks into it?

I bought a cheaper one but I can't give any recommendations yet since I have yet to use it.

I just trimmed some big fan leaves and it looks like some of the new growth got wind damage.
I moved the fans further away a few days ago.

I haven't fertilized yet but it's possible I've been over watering.
They're 10 gallon pots and last water I gave each 1 gallon.
I should back off then and I'll wait till they dry completely before the next water.
Edit: I waited a week after the last water before watering again.

I'm planning to LST the crap out of them and possibly top them.
I was going to go by height to determine when to flip to flower.
What I understand is that I can expect double to triple increase in height after the flip to 12/12. I'm working with an 8 foot grow tent and I gotta leave space for the LED so I suppose 2 feet high would be playing it safe with the pot included.
That would mean I will be flowering sooner than later. The thing is that I started 2 Super Silver Haze about a month later and I'm trying to wait for those to catch up.

LizardWizard said: If you watered a gallon to both, you overwatered. Don't feed a gallon of water to a small plant. How is that small plant going to get a gallon processed in a week? Even half a gallon would have been too much. A quart would have been plenty. How much do you think those girls sweat in a week? Remember, they ain't dripping with sweat from working out, and they don't need to pee.
edit: If given the choice, watering twice a week with less always gets my vote.
Happy new years to all!
I think I should put in a few more auto's but I'm also pretty sure that's going to give me space problems down the line.
Yeah that's what I just realized. I wasn't thinking about it enough. I was just reading an article about watering and it said that if you are having to wait longer than 3 days between watering then you need to water less at a time.
I was thinking that the soil is so light it would evaporate quickly with fabric pots but I guessed wrong.
I'm going to back way off on the next water. I'll try a quart like you said and see how they like it. Thank you for the specific advice.
Edit: Happy New Year's to everyone as well!
