I'm sorry but "outdoor" and "breeding" don't belong in the same sentence, let alone controlled.

For doing any kind of serious breeding (and not seeding your whole crop) you'd need at the very least a dedicated air-sealed room

I used to assume the same thing, I thought it was impossible and would ruin my females. Though I decided to experiment anyway and out of the 7 years I have grown outdoor Cannabis, I did breeding 5 of those years to make more seed and create new strains. Zero accidental pollination of other females or even non polinated colas on the same plant.

I crossed maui woui, and wonder woman to make this consistantly massive 15 foot tall Sativa dominant strain i call Maui Woman

Problem is that in my area sativas are harder to finish because of their long flowering time so a couple years ago I bred Maui woman with Black afghani the earliest flowering strain i have ever grown (I use it as a trap plant for budworm)  and this year im trying this new strain for the first time to see if my plan worked. I think im gonna call it Afghani woman,

Anyways, ill make an official Tek with photos this season. However the basic idea is that I keep 1 male of whatever strain(s) I want to breed, on the opposite corner of my property. I top them, and castrate them any time they try to grow balls.

So they are males, but without pollen sacks to burst open.

I keep the males short and nuetered until the females are a few weeks into flowering. Then I will allow the pollen sacks on a single node of the male to develop. The day before the sack bursts open I secure a plastic ziplock bag around the node with a hair tie. The next day when the male testes have splooged their load into the bag, i pinch off the whole male flowers into the bag, seal the bag, and slaughter the male. Then I coordinate with the wind direction and bring the bag to my females, gently open it and carefully slip the bag over one of the lowest hanging colas, and massage the pollen into the cola for a few moments before removing and immediately sealing the bag. I usually inoculate 2 - 3 Low hanging Colas and end up with plenty of seed for a few years. The rest of the unpollinated colas on the inoculated plant develop normally and do not have any seeds.

If I have other males i want to breed with I wait a couple days before I allow their testes to develop etc...

You can also add distilled water to the pollen bag to prevent any pollen from becoming airborn. (I have never done that, but it will probably be a step in the tek)

This year I sowed 10 Afghani Woman Seeds, 7 Ak47 seeds, 1 mystery seed, and im gonna buy 2 or 3 Blue Dream cuttings this week ^_^

Im gonna need to breed the ak47 for more seed for future years, and of course the black afghani in case it is a successfull strain. :strokebeard:

 thats fine. When I use the word breeding I mean the textbook definition of "the mating and production of offspring"

Im not trying to make legendary dank strains from bush weed. That obviously takes decades of hard and dedicated work.

However I started with old school, tried and true, Classic Dank strains from the Nirvana seed bank in holland. They did the hard work for me.
So if I breed two strains that are already super dank, chances are good that their offspring will be super dank too. With a unique combination of traits from both dank parent strains.

I have had seeds from a trash compressed brick of seedy trash weed from thailand and simply growing it sin semilla revealed its Naturally dank potential.

Its fun to sometimes mix a tried and true strain with something New and different because you never know what you will get.

Genetics definitely determine %100 of the potential, but I think the job you do in preparing the soil, maintenence, harvest, and curing have %90+ to do with what you get.
Where I live, most people cut corners that have a serious impact on their end product.

I have never even supplemented my plants with synth nutrients, i just prepare a dank 5 foot diameter holes with loose, fluffy, organic compost, mycellium, rabbit manure, and then when flowering begins I add a little more Rabbit Manure. Curing in Glass for 1 - 3+ months in a dark cool place
:awetongue:

Nah man its not personal, everyone has their own way of doing things. I just grow weed so I dont have to pay for it. My veggies, fruits, and cacti are more valuable to me. Though im always trying to learn and improve ^_^ So i look forward to checking out those breeding vids you posted!!
