Re previous post where I mentioned pulling away from the foil. In all actuallity, I meant the very thin threads of mycelium. Now, however, in one of the boxes, shrooms are growing on and right up to the foil... So, I'll be darned, but - I am still a newb. Hydration is crucial - for sure. I removed a cake from a box and the foil just sort of peeled away. Nice healthy fluffy spongy white thing. I am finding that there is a particularly proper time to case with a dusting of vermiculite. Then mist gently. Been working great.

Inatead of peeling it away. Leave the mycelium touching the aluminum. Sometimes it'll eat through it. Pretty cool.

pulled some whompers from a shoebox that had its own mono. its on like flush 5, and i guess they liked all the air exchange. these are cambodian gold, they produced spores but did not drop them.

My PESA always do the opposite - they never hold on to spores, the gills always stay creamy
