Nice haul bro! It'll be a few weeks before they sprout up here. Saute in butter and onions!

wow and those are big.
Were these easily spotted? Popped up in a flat area of grass or are they popping up hidden under half cover?

They were on a hill in a small area of grass under some elm trees and they were easily spotted, we looked for 3hrs... but found those within the first 45 minutes...

They're pretty good, not the mushroom flavor you'd expect

Looks are deceiving Like I said they don't taste very much like mushrooms. I bet you would enjoy them. Anyway, back on topic. I've gotta drive to town for a new spray bottle.... Damn thing broke. About to spawn some bacterial grain, we'll see what happens

Currently in the middle of my first grow. Bought some pre-made bags before I read too much and found out it would be easier and better to make jars myself; I've since bought a PC and Jars for next time. I'm about to invest in a SAB and some petri dishes too.
Seems a little crazy since I haven't even finished my first damn grow yet, but I'm hooked. I might even grow some edible mushrooms as a hobby.
Lots of thanks to Bod's TEKs.

hey bro, make sure they are quality dishes that are sealed in thick plastic. there is a lot of garbage out there. getting a perforated pack of dishes is like burning your money.

Yeah I'll probably get them from some lab supply company.
How are the reusable glass petri dishes?

I use them and love them. If you're not prone to dropping things you should consider them.
Cyanmar I think it is has a great deal ($1.25ea or something) I wish I knew about them when I started. Shipping is steep on one set but if you order several sets at once or maybe a pipette or other stuff with it it's the same rate and comes in way cheaper than the cheap dishes on Amazon with free shipping ($3 ea or so)
Edit : cynmar and the small 60mm glass dishes are less than $10 for set of 10.

That sounds amazing. I don't usually drop stuff, so if i can just re-use these it'll definitely be worth it.
