Could it be due to light? Or are the genetics not narrowed down?

I had that happen with a costa rica. Apparently, environmental conditions can cause it some times, instead of it being a true trait.

You should really get your agar game on point before even thinking about liquids... Transfer what exactly? Moldy lc? To what and why?

Pretty sure that's agar media. But yeah, looks to be covered in mold colonies and some bacteria. A pic through the glass would be much more telling than a bottom pic.

I have given up on liquids I think. I have had one set successful, and then I went to use the same LC and got tons of trich. A2G2G is my favorite.

I like liquid inoculant made with a blender and pure agar cultures especially for slow growing species, it can really speed up the colonisation time of your grain, you must be confident that your agar culture is pure.
