Agar contamination confirmation help- "cobweb" mold is what I'm guessing

Hey all. I've been having very poor luck with agar. Still waiting on a bunch of plates to do anything. I've done my agar inoculation in multiple ways so far to see what works best for me. Just spores still have yet to do anything but one of my MS syringe plates finally has some growth on it, but unfortunately I'm pretty sure it's mold. I inoculated this 4 full days ago. The growth is very spacious, thin, and aerial. Any confirmation would be awesome. thanks!

Cobweb would explode with growth pretty much before your eyes. Give it a little more time, it could very well be and likely is the kind of mycelium you're trying to grow just getting started. Don't forget you'll want extra plates made up to transfer clean growth to.

Thanks for the tip nymph. I have 6 more plates already made up for transfers. I keep telling myself to be patient and wait to see what happens in terms of the explosive growth and color differences. Just hoping for some good news for once. Most likely syringe issues. Let the patience continue.
