Mushroom ID NZ
    #25111720 - 04/03/18 05:51 PM (5 years, 10 months ago)

Hi there,

Inexperienced picker. Found these in a recommended spot in North East Valley, Dunedin. Was wondering if anyone here would be able to identify these or tell by eye whether they contain psilocybin. Planning on doing a spore print tonight.

Cheers

I think these are an Inocybe sp. Not something you want to eat.

Might be one potential magic in the picture below. The bottom one on the right side that looks a little Blue on the cap.

All look like Inocybe to me.

Looking at the one with the greenish-bluish tinge on the cap, I'd throw it out since it is probably too dried out to identify properly
from pictures by now. Perhaps you remember the exact location so you could go back and take pictures of completely fresh ones if
you're able to find them. It really helps to take pictures of the mushrooms, close up and in situ, especially the smaller species, they
tend to lose character in indoor light.

I agree with inocybe. I think the greenishish bruising on the one cap is just discoloration from being old. But would like to see fresher specimens and gills

I think it is probably a color distortion, typical with pictures in indoor lighting.
If you look at the stem base on the third one from top in the next row, that one also appears to be light greenish.

That's a possibility too.  All the noticeable bruising I see is brownish red with a hint of yellow on a few.
