To much water In my jars?
    #25093746 - 03/27/18 07:50 AM (3 years, 1 month ago)

Is this jar alright? I pressure cooked it and i don't know if it had to much direct heat on the bottom or if there was to much water. I already inoculated so I hope it works. You can see how it's caked up at the bottom.

I ground my own brown rice ha. I think I just had to much water. Luckily I have other jars going.

It almost looks like it was not mixed correctly.  I've read that its fine if you grind your own brown rice into flour and use it, but just be sure to mix the vermiculite and water together first, then slowly mix in the brown rice flour, little by little.  I've had constant reliable results with this method. My advice would be to always follow the tek, and dont forget the 2:1:1 ratio.  Good luck!
