Hello everyone. I have 5 Quart jars about to be fully colonized. To this day a little grain not colonized at the top. My Question is how many Half gallons jars i can transfer with 5 quart jars. and how many Table spoons per jar.

Don't use a spoon to transfer your grains.
Just pour.
Here is one of the best videos ever made for a g2g tutorial.

You could literally use a single grain for every jar if you wanted. You can stretch that grain as far as you want bu typically 1 quart jar of spawn goes to 10 receiving jars.

One of my concerns is that RR said half gallon grain need less water and to lay the jars on the side for better gas exchange.

How long can you keep your jars after you pressure cook them before doing a g2g transfer? I would assume they would loose moisture at some point.

Im no expert, but it depends how dry is your room. I wouldn't go more than a week. probably less.

What does that have to do with g2g?
As far as water goes prepare your grains like you would any other jar.
Someone else will have to chime in about putting them on their side.
Still don't see what that has to do with g2g.
