I don't consider myself a volume grower by any stretch. But I do like a good clone hunt for a number of reasons. I relied a lot on cloning to stabilize my RW. I find you can see a lot of weird even when working with limited genetics.

I confess that I just went to remove a contaminated sub from one of my monotubs... and a big cloud of white smoke came billowing out and filled the room....
I'm pretty sure it was trich.

No, mold spores were in your grow space the whole time, follow proper procedures. Spraying down the room with 70% iso alcohol to decrease the spore count wouldn't hurt, if that is an option of course.

While you're on vacation, look for mushrooms in the wild. That's what I do.

i confess. i had a damn good dinner.
i made some chinese food with my oysters tonight. beef and mushrooms. they were fucking delicious. although, i tried putting em in monos again but there wasn't enough air exchange. even with the holes open and lid angled. first batch came out long stemmed.
11 year old oyster cultures. grown off mulch in plastic bags. open air. just sprayed em a few times daily. i must have harvested about 3lbs fresh today. i should be harvesting about 3 more times that in the next few days. mmmm. and the mother in law is cooking them up. i need to make my shroom tacos.
blues

pearls

nice color. yeah they definitely aren't as full looking as an automated environment. but hell cultures 11 years old. and they taste great! ive got about 8 more bags growing now. that was 2. they do tend to dry out open air like that. so i have to mist a few times daily. although, i tried putting em in a mono with the lid angled. but they didn't get enough air exchange. munch had done it and had good success. i think these blues and pearls my be a little more high maintenance.

Heck yes I will!
I confess, I've been innoculating bottles so I can come home to fully colonized stuff. I'm looking forward to not obsessively checking them everyday

Thanks, I specialize in mushroom photography, I've made a bunch of posters with my photos of mushrooms. I confess, the reason I don't cultivate mushrooms as much as I used to is because I spend 3-4 days a week looking for wild mushrooms.

I confess I may be in the dog house when my wife finds out I used her good cheese grater on pf cakes.
I also confess that I regret posting huge hauls last year when I first signed up on shroomery. I realized how foolish it was waaaay after the fact.
