Well the longer I work with this clone the more I am seeing something show up that I think is a phenol type. This is LGT, with NO know PE genetics bred in, but I am getting PE phenos showing up. This tub shows more than I have had in any other tub. Not sure what is going on but I am considering a clone of a clone here to try to isolate this.
not uncommon with LGT to put out that bell shaped cap. somebody recently had a full tub of them.

Simple, these PF jars are not ready to be inoculated, the poly fill is a useful plug.
edit: oh, oh, the sgfc my bad yeah it had a couple larger holes in it from earlier before the small holes so I filled em, should I just take it out?

Well not the second flush I was hoping for but I think something got in there that shouldn't have. Well time to get the H2O2 out and the distilled water and sterile paper towels out...will make for some nice prints though and look at that dick hole forming. Spaying all day and still too dry.

Checked my plates today. GT clone transferred on 3/7 looks good.
Same clone from a different plate transferred on 3/10. All 6 look like this. Lots of myc growth, but all around the wedge. Nothing goes onto the new plate. Agar around the wedges looks wrinkled and slightly cloudy. Bacteria on my plates? Other plates from this pour are fine. Agar is 10g BRF, 10g agar, 500mL water.

I’ve noticed this when I change nutrients in my agar. Going from MEA to grain soak agar it “consumes” the agar it already has a foothold on before spreading outwards. The second set of photos the agar has a much deeper red, which is why I bring it up.

Interesting. It is a different batch of agar, and I did use a bit more food color. I’m pretty sure all nutrients are the same in both batches. It gives me a little hope, so I’ll keep these around and see how they progress.
