What we need is pictures of different edible cultures, in various stages. So on grains, knots and pins, agar cultures ect. I will go through and adjust this thread to reflect it later.

Shaggy Mane on some bacterial WBS by Humble Newcomer

Notice, at the bottom of each jar, there is some funk going on at the bottoms.

King Oysters being to dry by Ziran.
Notice how the caps are becoming cracked looking. This is due to an overly dry environment. They still are edible, Just not how we want them to look.

Some Yellow Morel on bacterial grains by Ziran

Idk what to say about these. Just. Gross.

Lions mane on oats. Left jar is fully colonized  and ready to spawn. Fine mycelium holding grains together with a few tiny white pins scattered about.

Right jar over-consolidated,  pins  everywhere. Overall white in appearance.

Shiitake plug growing out on birdseed blend.

Figured since we got our feet wet on this we may as well continue. Gourmet section needs stuff like this, and temp information too. Tons of species out there and information quickly becomes scarce.

Pleurotus citrinopileatus (yellow oyster)

WBS grain spawn

cake

Coprinus Comatus (shaggy mane)

very furry myc, reminiscent of oyster
