Is it bad to have the bags next to the jars?

And u can use ur premade substrate in place of tge coir and verm. But next time just buy coir and verm. Its cheap and easy as hell to prep.

And no, 1, the bags and jars are sealed with filters. 2, bacteria doesnt spread like that. Dont get too worried man. Atleast u dont have mold. When using a spore syringe straight to grain, ull pretty much always have bacteria.

Like i said b4, ull still get fruits. But while ur waiting for this round to fruit, get some agar and read up on it so ur good to go to harvest spores or a tissue clone when it fruits.

Thank you for your assistance, I will start researching agar immediately. I didn't know that syringe to grain commonly caused bacteria. How long do u think I should wait till I mix with the manure based substrate? In other words is it best to still wait a week after those last couple rye berries become colonized? I count about 15 individual berries on the bottom that are not colonized.

Since its a bag, honestly id open it and remove that section. Then close and break up the grains by hand and spawn to ur bulk sub. It could colonize but it just doesnt look right. Remove it if u can imo. I just spawned 9 qts wbs in a monotub and 4 of them were old as hell. Like 2 months or more. Everyone makes mistakes lol

Im sorry, wait, now im more confused. Your saying that just that section is unhealthy? Not the entire bag? I thought the whole bag was bacterial. Honestly im a little confused as to what that even means. I am researching and have no issue finding information on my own but could you maybe explain exactly what  your looking at? Also, Could you recommend some pictures or information that directly related to what you think is wrong? Forgive me if it's a dumb question but im a beginner. I can provide more pics if that helps.

No the bag has bacteria already. I suggested moving the uncolonized grain so they dont rot. U could just wait it out and see if the mycellium grows over them. But if it was me id remove the slimy grains and spawn the rest.

And we say its bacterial due to tye amount of metabolites (yellow liquid) is in the bag. Bacteria is invisable, but it makes mycellium grow dense and foamy like styrofoam. Itll also cause some seeds to get a slimy coating and theyll never colonize fully.

So I ordered the bulk substrate and it will be here by Friday. (It was already paid for or I'd go with the coir) probably just gonna fruit in the bags they provided. I will attempt to remove the slimy grains when I open the bag to make the transfer to the bulk substrate. Are the brf jars less susceptible to bacteria? I had 1 with trich I put outside but the other 12 are good so far, just slow cuz it's in the mid 60's to low 70's in temperature. Any tips for removing the slimy grain? Thanks for your help nube

Yes brf is more forgiving in that aspect. Thats why its suggested for begginers.
