Loop holes in the laws. They probably don't keep shrooms on the premises either. They can claim they got the spores from universities and such or some such, to add another layer of protection.I don't think the government cares about shrooms much. I believe within the next 10 years shrooms will be legal. Weed within the next 5. L

firstly, mushrooms are the perfect illegal drug because 1) they're an organic and can be found in nature 2) not as addictive as other drugs 3) aren't as widely used 4) can be grown by your average joe. secondly, you need to know that the police force or the what-have-you are not going to get involved with something as minor as one guy growing a couple of cakes in his closet. they're ten times more concerned about the major drug dealers out to make profit. thirdly, just like marijuana seeds, spores aren't illegal because neighter contain illegal chemicals in those forms. finally, our government isn't going to do shit over the topic of drugs. sure, hard ones they'll come down on, but once you start getting into recreational drugs like pot and shrooms, things a lot of people within society do or have done at some point, then you'll start up a kind of rebellion with the natural 'someone told me not to, therefor i will' reaction. maybe its the weed talking, but this is just my two cents...

Spores ARE illegal here in California (the only state where they are banned...?), so I don't think what chemicals they contain or don't contain is an issue. And marijuana seeds are illegal too, aren't they?

marijuana seeds are illegal in all 50 states. And the police don't really care about shrooms lead to volience and crime like a lot of other drugs do. I've never heard of some one getting shot during a sour shroom deal. Cocain and meth are the big ones. In my town it seems like they've almost given up on weed. If your selling it they bust you, and if you have a lot they bust you. But if you just got a little nug or your stoned its a "go home before i change my mind" type of deal..

yes, california is the only state that has made possesion/distribution of spores illegal. as far as marijuana seeds go, yes they are illegal simply because if anyone has them, its usually an indication that they have the intent to grow. however, if a cop finds that you have seeds he CAN'T bust you on possesion of marijuana because the seeds contain no THC, and therefor the only thing they can charge you with is intent, which is about as minor a charge as they come. not to mention, the only reason marijuana seeds have become illegal in the states is because of the popularity of herb. now shrooms aren't as popular right now, but they're becoming so more and more every day, which is why california took early initiative and made spores illegal. the rest of the states will most likely do the same within the next 4-5 years.
