Does anyone have a good estimate on king oyster yield per quart with this proven approach?

Also, any benefit in keeping them in the pp5 containers during fruiting versus popping the colonized block out and fruiting it in a GH?
Seems like if you could pop them out and get the same BE% then you would need half as many or at least fewer containers

They do much better in the containers. In the GH they'll dry out unless you're constantly misting them.

So had 4th flush with these, then added a little horse manure again, and they've exploded more than the first few flushes. Flush 5 going strong!

No idea. But I do have some of these spawned to flat paper a bit of verm, gypsum cased in coir. check my journal. The yeilds wont be as big as if you added wheat bran and such (sterlized then nocked). But shiiit. Ive had decent fruits from woochips/paper/verm/gypsum.

Hey Xerbia, did you leave stumps or twist and pull your flushes off the sub?
I left stumps and feel like it's blocking a lot of the surface real estate. I had a big firsst flush and the new pins have slim pickings on where to come up.

I've had multiple flushes in the bottles and some from stumps...

Hey guys how much liquid inoculant do you like using for your bottles? The recommended 10 ml, more or less? Whats the average time for first pins after casing?

Anyone know why the Japs and others use small neck bottles in their commercial operations as opposed to wide mouth ones? Does the excess surface area require THAT much more condition control?
What could the benefit be of aside from limiting moisture loss? Maybe since I run edibles it's comparing apples to oranges.

I've twist and pulled all of them so far without issue.

I've used up to 40ml on a single bottle but the submix was super dry and the inoculant was weak so I had to overcompensate.
10ml with some healthy thick li should do well. Maybe a smidge more for speed but it really gets to a point of no return and also getting too wet causing slow growth.

Think I've asked this before but couldn't you adapt this to bags? Simply knock it up with LI/LC through the bag?
To me it seems more efficient energy and labor wise to do this than to run a 55 gal steamer for spawn and to do a separate run for pasteurizing straw etc.
Someone pick this apart for me please.

I think i poured anywhere from 20-30 mls and its kinda swampy in some bottles (metabolite city), some are finishing up after 3 weeks slowly. I thought more would be better but like you say theres a sweet spot.
I found some cheap 16 gauge needles on ebay that will help regulate an exact amount of LI next time.

More surface are gives you more small fruits and aborts. Comercial growers are after a smaller number of big beautiful fruits.

Have you folks found any alternative to the loose polyfill in the top holes of the mono?
They fall out on me from time to time. Perhaps I'll just tape or glue them in, one way or another.
